Wow, AMAZING cosplay! Very creative, you definitely deserve that judge's award.
I was wondering if you would be able to help me. I'm planning to do a female Heavy cosplay next year. As it says in your description, the turret SPINS? I want my Sasha to spin too, I was thinking about adding a power drill inside. The only problem is it might go against the "Weapons peace bonding".
How did you make yours? And I assume the convention you attended allowed it?

I used a drill as well.
As for peace bonding...they taped the handle to say I went by the desk...The security there said that since I had a long enough barrel cover at the end of the barrels, that it was safe to carry around.

...I don't want to give away all of my secrets...so I'll just give you a clue...
The motor = a power tool of some sort c;

Oh thats grand, but was it a bit arkward rechargeing the battery and turning it on and off and things? I'm probably thinking too much into this am'nt I, thanks for the the clue

We cut a hole to where we can recharge it / it's easy to take apart to charge if need be and we cut a hole to turn it on...the only issue is holding the button down...I shove a pen cap into it and it holds the button down...
THERE'S NO SUCH THING INTO THINKING INTO IT TOO MUCH C:
Sasha took us 4 months all together from idea to finished and it took me about a month to figure out how I was going to make everything...Everyone is going to make a prop differently, that's what makes it grand...You'll figure out what you want, and then it will be yours C:

The round cylinder is aluminum as well as the support for the handles...everything else is either PVC or plastic or foam C:

I added a few minor pieces (The back two pipes / motors and the exhausted) onto her, and I need to make a better attachment for the motor so she doesn't lock up when she spins...

Is the motor attached to an axle or something to make the barrel spin, a direct hitch or a separate device?
That could be part of the cause.
