Another try at photoshop. I am trying to learn how to do basic stuff on photoshop. I hate the arm in this pic. But I redid it like ten times and thats the best I could get it. Let me know what you guys think.Related content

I think this is really cool where it's going so far!
the overall scheme you concept you have for this edit is great, but why wash out the pink tones? I think if you bring out the color or just out and out introduce a bolder shade of red/pink in the background (which is PERFECT!) and on your dress, it will really enhance what you already have.
As was already mentioned it looks like, just add some layers and see what you can come up with.
I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with how your arm looks here either, at least not that I could think of that's easily "fixed;" the only thing i notice is the halo around it that's a bit distracting. I also might try upping the contrast on your face and arm anyway, it could look really cool. And make your lips more pink too!!

Hey I think it looks great.
Nothing wrong with the arm. just maybe near the crook of the arm on the inside make the seem between the arm and the background a bit darker.
But a very cool image. Love the washed out colour.

one way I found of fixing that problem
Duplicate the layer in the forground.
then darken the new forground image all this layer is going to be is the outer part of the forground so it doesnt matter if you loose the colour in the main part of it.
Then place the origonal forground ontop of the duplicated one.
(you can duplicate this layer again and turn of the origonal and keep it as a backup)
then with the eraser set to brush. choose a diffused brush.
Then just erase the edges of the foreground (the light one)
do it bit by bit and try and blend the 2 layers you basically just want to take off a couple of pixels.
You can always use more layers and make a more gradual transition.

there are plenty of other ways of doing it but I found this works quite well and doesnt take very long.

What I did was..the background was only above my head so I used the clone tool to fill in where the pink background ended. But I had trouble getting ot to look like it was actually there when th epic was taken. Especially around the arm. As for the layers..I am afraid that I don't know what you are talking about. I haven't gotten that far with photoshop I guess

Basically when Im working in Photoshop I try to keep each element of the image on a seperate layer.
you can then move those elements and manipulate them without changing the rest of the image.
Its a good way to work and can save you a lot of hassels.

They arnt actually that difficult, once you get the hang of it.
