Got an idea for a cocaine prevention PSA. This is by no means the final production here, but rather just what I have got so far. This is pretty much how I envisioned it in my head, but I may redo the shoot because there are a few things that bother me. ie - The bottom of the powder is out of focus. And I couldn't get the tear to flow correctly (read below).

What I am going for:

I chose to use Marby as the model over some of my friends because #1 she looks innocent, #2 because she is female, and #3 she doesn't look like a drug addict like some of my friends do LOL. I really wanted to drive home the point that drugs can and do effect people from all walks of life. So I wanted to have the "user" look as innocent as possible, to contrast her action (Not that you can really see her innocence in this composition).

I also wanted to have a tear flowing down her face to further drive the point of addiction and her "need" for the blow vs. her "wanting" it to have fun. The water was not co-operating with me so this tear may be photoshopped in later if it fits the composition like hope it will.

I know her face and hair are a little out of focus and I wanted this because Maranda as an individual is not the focus of this. I want the viewers focused more on what she is doing - the act itself - and the sad face (made out of coffee creamer ). Having her face out of focus again adds to the idea that this could be anyone.

Black and white to add to the emotional impact. Also made sure to use a black table to contrast the white powder.
