No problem. I've been wanting to try to make my own cosplay as well. How did you come to learn how to sow? Take any classes?

Let me think about it.
I sew since 3 years now. At the beginning I just sewed with geometrical forms and made this fit my bodyform.
Today I sew with patterns and a dress form. Often I use the patterns from "buttinette" or "butterick". The pictures in it are good and the text is easy to understand.
So try it with patterns. ^^
