...Together, they found others like them who had escaped, and a refuge to protect them in. A huge old Victorian house, three stories, in the suburbs somewhere in southern Kentucky. Craig was recaptured, but Zepher still lives there.

She lives there, in a precarious little community, made up of those who are no longer strictly human, but neither are they anything else. There’s Adrian, three feet of fiercely insecure and vengeful mockingbird morph, and Kat, the spastic winged tiger who lives to torment him. There’s Genesis, recently arrived from the past, and Buffy, who isn’t technically alive at times. Alan, winged and taloned, and Deltar, who’s convinced he’s an alien, and Danica, juvenile delinquent-turned-African violet. And many others, besides.

Picture taken somewhere on the Central California coast. We were driving, and I was all "OMG that is SO the House!" Luckily, my family knows me and my obsessions well enough that they wern't completely convinced I'd gone insane, and let me stop and take a few pictures. The location is wrong, but otherwise, it's just about perfect.
