I've been meaning to make a stamp of this statement.There have been times when people would tell cosplayers that they can't cosplay as certain characters because of their gender, their skin tone, their weight, and other things.
I find that to be utterly ridiculous. Cosplaying is suppose to be about having fun making the costume, or working hard to buy the costume. And then its about wearing the costume that you worked hard to make or buy.
So don't let anything get in the way of having fun and display your love and admiration for the character you dress up as

i one time saw a girl who had on a regular shirt and she wore a sign that said: "This is my Hetalia Cosplay, deal with it!"

I wanted to cosplay as France from Hetalia,but everyone was like 'But you're a female and don't have blond hair!'.But I still cosplayed him and then showed them a middle finger >:3

I'm like you- I say "F**K THAT SHIT" and I know why too- ever noticed that the "cool characters" are PRACTICALLY ALWAYS cosplayed? Geez, I could go on but I'll just spare the eyes reading this and say that "cross-playing doesn't make you a freak." How make Goku's do you see at conventions? Tons of them. How many Perfect Cell's attend? A few. How many people had the balls to go as Semi-Perfect Cell? TWO OF US! (and I'm one of those two people! :3 )

I actually completely agree with this stamp. I do get rather annoyed with peole when they state, "You should cosplay this person. You are..." and so forth. I tend to snap back at those people who make those remarks.
Those are the things that get under my skin.

but i will admit, that there are limits. i still remember a friend of mine showing me a pic of a very hairy fat guy cosplaying as Sailor Moon. that pic both made me lawl and also grossed me out

I will also admit that too as I have seen a man that was over-weight, in his forties, and cosplaying Chibimoon....with a mustache.

i agree. i wanna start cosplaying and if i had the money to buy a wig, i would get a Zexion wig. Even though I'm a 13 year old girl.

glad that you do agree. just save your money to get the wig or if not, you can always style your hair to make it look like it. also i find it adorable when kids cosplay too.
