"Congratulations, Riga," Eden said after Riga announced her engagement. Eden had known, for quite a while, now, that Riga and Ragnarok were very close. She had to admit, she was a little surprised at how quickly - how young - the pair were, to be becoming mates, but then again, she and Kane had also become mates quite young.

I suppose I'm just used to courtship taking a lifetime here in Aryn, Eden mused. When you love a wolf, you shouldn't just sit on it, dancing around the will-they-won't-they. She smirked, thinking of the many hopeless couples that surrounded her - Seven and Lazarus, Raphael and Merrill, Lawson and Hani. You need to act.

She turned, wanting to speak to Kane, to make some joke about their helpless pack-mates, but he was gone. She realized, only she and Riga were still standing in the same place. Eden twisted to look over her shoulder, and spotted Kane, Barin, and Urs standing around Ragnarok. The raggedy young male looked a little uncomfortable, surrounded by the massive wolves, but Kane's face was all smiles. So was Barin's. Really, only Urs looked fearsome in Eden's eyes, but that was just her stern face. Her eyes shone with welcome.

Riga watched, too, as Kane said, "Welcome to family, Ragnarok!"

"Yes, welcome to the family," Urs added, in her gruff voice. Urs flashed a glance at Eden, and Eden knew exactly what her daughter was thinking. Now you'll be getting those grandpups you've been wanting.

Not too soon, Eden responded silently, turning back to Riga. She pressed her muzzle against Riga's cheek. The scars that now marred her pretty face, and had shredded her ear, broke Eden's heart, but Riga was still beautiful. And she was positively glowing at the announcement of hers and Ragnarok's engagement. "I'm so happy for you," Eden whispered into her daughter's fur. "Nobody deserves this more than you."

Eden and Urs are thrilled for Riga to have finally had her heart stolen by Ragnarok, and I'm certain Barin and Kane are, too! I decided to doodle up this little piece - Ragnarok is a pretty big wolf, but in a family of big wolves, I'm sure he'd feel a little uncertain of himself at first. XD

PS - SERIOUSLY GUYS ARYN HAS SO FEW OPPORTUNITIES TO AVOID INBREEDING. YOU'RE LIKE SOME OF THE ONLY WOLVES NOT RELATED TO THE ATHENA BLOODLINE. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO COUPLE UP. DATE AN ATHENIAN.

I'm kidding. I love these two crazy kids, they're adorable together! They remind me a bit of Eden and Kane, actually - big floof and smaller sleeker woof. XD
