Well, here we go! My second and probably last Sixfold League character. I admit I couldn't resist making another, because I haven't had a proper outlet to make trainers in, and I've always been fascinated by how pokemon and humans could work together in everyday life. So I made a baker! Because...I don't know, it seemed interesting. Either way, I never really intend to participate in the competition part of Sixfold, so he too is an NPC. I'm trying to keep it at two characters, even though I have a bad habit of making characters left and right.

TRAINER

Name: Bernard Mercier
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Height: 6'02"

Personality: Amiable and calm, Bernard usually goes at somewhat of an easy pace. Despite appearing very laid back, when it comes to his bakery or pokemon battles (the latter of which he doesn't participate in anymore) he is extremely ambitious and driven. When it comes to being a shopkeeper, however, he is very friendly and eager to please, hoping to make his customers happy with the food he makes. Not very social outside of work, Bernard lives with his sister Simone and all of their pokemon, and loves them very dearly. He's fairly protective of his twin sister, and is always hoping that she will succeed. When it comes to his own two pokemon, he is incredibly doting and trusting of them, having worked with them most of his life both as a battler and a baker. HE enjoys pokemon in general, and always loves to see what customers bring in, and thus can make a few treats for pokemon like poffins.

Brief History: When Bernard was very young, in his hometown of Alto Mare, he used to live near a bakery. He went there everyday to watch the baking and the customers, and developed a dream of owning his own bakery because of that. But as he grew, he recognized that a good way to earn money and fame was to be a successful pokemon trainer. Obtaining an eevee, Cloe at the same time that his sister got Cloe's brother, he began training her to be a battler. Shortly after, he came across Nicodemus and befriended him, eventually aspiring to win at double battles. He was successful for a while, but found it unsatisfying. A tournament took him to Cita Erbonde, and as he browsed the city he saw an old bakery for sale, having recently closed down. Curiousity led him and his pokemon to look around and in the property, and he found that the ovens were similar to the bakery of his childhood. Eventually, as his pokemon liked it as much as he did, he decided he would pursue his childhood dream. Pulling out all his savings from his battles, he bought the property and began a small business. Since then he has had a few failures but eventually worked his way up to being able to strike it even and have a fairly successful shop.

Misc: Sells both pastries and breads, he specializes in scones and poffins, as the fruits his leafeon Cloe grows are very high quality due to her excessive dedication to her plants. Has a very bad sense of humor- if any at all- and often doesn't really 'get' jokes, and is abysmal at telling them. Has a twin sister, Simone, whose vaporeon is Cloe's brother.

Misc: Cloe manages the garden that is directly behind the bakery in a small lot, and is utterly devoted to her job. She waters, talks to, and defends their garden, and a good sign of how much she trusts you is how much she lets you near it. Only Bernard, Nicodemus, and her brother Calder are allowed IN the garden, and she does not let anyone touch or take care of her plants. She is very sweet and friendly, but not the sharpest tool in the shed, forgetting things easily and not understanding concepts occasionally. She's not dumb as much as very simple, and does not think much about things, opting instead to enjoy the moment and her job. Loves and adores her brother Calder, who belongs to Bernard's twin sister. She looks up to her brother and goes to him if anything confuses her too much...Which is most things. Slightly motherly in her caretaking of her plants, and can be incredibly fierce when defending them, even if the offender is just a stray insect wandering by.

Moveset: Pursuit, Flamethrower, Thunderpunch, Superpower
Misc: Bernard's second pokemon, Nicodemus both helps heat up the ovens and keeps temperatures consistent and bread warm, he is also a sort of security for the bakery, making sure Bernard and Cloe are safe, as well as the bakery itself. Recalcitrant and serious, Nicodemus is protective of those he cares about most, whether physically or in their relationships. As such he can be a bit prying, and doesn't take well to anyone new until he's sure they are safe. He's very motivated and when he was a battler, he fought hard and long, not giving in until he absolutely had to. He respects those who are ambitious and work towards their goals, which is in part why he admires and follows Bernard so much.
