Description
The finished costume project of my LARP character Læki. The mask was hand sculpted, moulded and cast by me. Eyes tongue etc. were also made by myself. The eyes feature LEDs which make them glow. It was a ton of work and sadly due to the extreme heat at the Con this year, it was a very expensive tent decoration. 38C° in the shadows made it was pretty much impossible to wear :'DThis was my first time ever having to sculpt a bird type mask, so I'm quite happy how this magpie-guy turned out.

My LARP character is going to become a were-raven (I don't plan on wearing a full fursuit-head like yours though), so may I ask how you made the claws/gloves?

Thanks! The claws were made by simply taking some black stretchy gloves, and then cutting out the "scales" out fabric and gluing them on (I would recommend sewing though in hindsight) the claws were cast from polyurethane resin but think sculpting then out of polymer clay like Fimo for example would also work just fine ^^ they were inserted through a cut in the tip of the glove and glued in on the inside

Is it a problem that you made the claws out of hard material though? I mean, in terms of "equipment-safety" and not hurting anyone?
I already thought about making mine out of silicone so they would be flexible.

His eyelids are articulated so they can be opened and closed, so yes he is squinting on 2 of the photos
