Summary: While Silvia sneaks out near the city of Massilia a hunter apprentice finds her. Will this end in anger? Or something else~

Word Count: 7,425

 Silvia

A dark figured stepped through the forest cautiously, keeping to the shadows as if afraid the light would burn. She kept her eyes and ears open and extended her claws, she walked until she caught a glimpse of a tall dark wall. She paused, her stomach fluttering with fear, but she gulped it down and kept moving. No one knew she was out here...so if something happened..... No, i can't think like that.

As Silvia got closer to the wall her fur started to stand on end, she didn't want to get caught, but she also didn't want to be too afraid to do anything. She picked the closest tree to the wall that she could find, and started climbing. She wasn't the best at climbing, but she was better than some of her brothers. As she reached the lowest branch, she still couldn't see over the wall, so she climbed higher, high enough to feel a bit wobbly. But finally...she could see the city. She could see humans, cats, and dogs all walking in one place. Silvia didn't know how the cats of the city put up with all the humans and dogs. She definitely couldn't do it. But then again, it might be nice to have a human feed you...but that was never going to happen for her.

 Jasper

Jasper was on patrol, something that seemed incredibly boring when you were on the inside of the wall. He must have been checking for holes or something which happened but was unlikely on this side of the city because the wall was so large. Deciding he could do his job just as easily from atop the wall he found a way up along some stairs for a nearby building. Once on top Jasper heard what sounded like the rustling of leaves in the branches of a tree not too far away. Pausing to listen and watch he was curious, it sounded too large to be a bird when suddenly a pretty sleek coat came into view. A young female cat. Some hybrid like Jasper had never seen, and she was peering over the wall. She hadn't seen him...yet, so he crouched down. This close to the city it could easily be a cat that belonged to the nearest abode, though something about her felt...off, so Jasper would watch, and wait to see what her next move was.

 Silvia

Silvia crouched on the branch she perched on, not noticing the leopard who was watching her. She scoured the city, trying to learn everything possible, it might be nice to stay here for a while and just watch the city. But cats back at camp might wonder she was and come looking for her. As she struggled with this question she looked around the city more, soon to find a cat watching at her from a roof nearby the wall. Her fur stood on end, this cat was definitely a hunter apprentice. Silvia slowly backed up back into the foliage, only leaving her eyes visible.

 Jasper

The more Jasper watched her the more he felt she couldn't be a city cat. The way her eyes and ears scanned the movement of the city, it was clear this was foreign to her, still she could be a farm cat like Roy who spent most of their time protecting crops.
When she saw him she shrink ed back, and since he had been exposed he felt confident enough to approch her. Moving to stand right in front of the tree she hid in Jasper frowned.
"I know you're there, you might as well come out."

 Silvia

Silvia frowned as the cat drew closer, her claws extended, but then quickly she decided that maybe this cat didn't even know she was an empire cat? She heard him speak and she sighed quietly. Silvia stepped out into the open and walked closer to the wall. She sat down and looked at the cat that was in front of her, he wasn't the worst looking hunter...he didn't see too scary. Although he was quite bigger than her, probably older too. "So, you live in the city?" she asked the male a little uncertainly.

 Jasper

Jasper remained standing, though his posture was somewhat relaxed. He usually wasn't a big talker, and his tail flicked back and forth as he eyed her curiously. "Yes, I live in the city. What are you doing sneaking around the outside of the wall?" He asked out of duty to his assignment, but thanks to Avigail he was at least kind in how he had asked. Jasper had to admit to himself he was very curious about this cat, she seemed dainty, but if she wasn't supposed to be here she was brave and he respected bravery.

 Silvia

Silvia saw how relaxed this cat was, and she felt a little more at ease with this...but it might just be that he's confident in both his size and fighting skills if he were 'attacked' by her. Of course she wouldn't attack him though, that would be stupid. When he replied and asked his own question she had a brilliant idea, shed make something up about being a farm cat or traveling cat or something. She sat down and spoke, "I just wanted to see what all the commotion was about the city, i've never been to one so big." she didn't want to say too much, but if he asked where she was from she would definitely lie...after all this male would probably rip her to shreds if he knew that she herself was an empire cat.

 Jasper

Jasper watched her speak. A little twinge in the back of his head said something wasn't right, but then again, even if she was lying he didn't care as long as she wasn't stealing anything or breaking the laws. She could stay on that side of the wall all day for all he cared. "Well the city is all I've ever known, so if you say it's bigget than most I will have to take your word for it."

 Silvia

Silvia waited for the male to speak, and to be honest she was a little nervous about what this cat would say. But when he spoke she was a little surprised, but she didn't let him know that. She nodded, "It's quite a big city..." she said a bit awkwardly. "What's your name?" she asked, trying to move the conversation along. She really wanted to go into the city...but she knew she probably shouldn't ask because that might be a bit weird, and she was also afraid one of the other hunters might think it a bit suspicious. Instead she just watched the city behind the cat, trying not to look to interested.

 Jasper

When she asked his name he was busy looking behind him at a dog sniffing around the backyard of a medium class household. Dogs were a pain to deal with, but for the most part they had learned to keep their distance from Hunters and pet felines. "Jasper." He answered casually, turning to look back at her. "I assume you have a name as well?" It suddenly occurred to him that this was the first female about his age that he had talked to. Thinking about it that way a small frown appeared on his face. He wasn't sure what this funny feeling was in his stomach, but he wasn't sure he liked it either.

 Silvia

Silvia was also watching the dog behind the hunter-apprentice, wondering why such a horrible creature was even allowed in the city. She looked back at the male when he answered her and she nodded, "I'm Silvia." she said with a small smile. The cat in front of her was quite a handsome feline, well...for a hunter. Of course, she already had a crush...but neither her crush or this cat could ever work out. Silvia shook her head, what was she thinking?! He was a hunter! She was here to spy and nothing else.

 Jasper

Jasper added the name to memory then angling himself back towards the city he said, "Well Silvia, apprentices aren't supposed to be outside of the city, so... I guess you should probably get out of that tree." As soon as he said it Jasper felt like a moron. There were better ways to say that right? Deciding to try one more time he added "I can help you find a way off the wall if you would like?" That sounded a little more gentlemanly, but he still felt like at any moment he would find out someone was pulling his leg.

 Silvia

Silvia was a little shocked when he thought she was an apprentice...well she was...but not a hunter apprentice. Or maybe he was talking about himself. She nodded and started making her way toward the wall, and when he spoke again it shocked her even more, this cat was so nice! How is he even a hunter?? She smiled and nodded once more, she would like some help...because the branch she was on kept getting more and more wobbly as she crept closer to the wall.

 Jasper

She nodded letting Jasper know she would accept his help. Although her silence confused him. Had he made it awkward? Jasper made a face to himself. He didn't care about things like this, why should he start caring now?
Seeing that her branch was wobbly he looked around till he found another branch from the same tree. Alone it was no good, but if she used this one and the one she was already on, it would hold her to the wall. Reaching up he used his strength to pull the branch down and over, holding it in place with his heavy paws.

 Silvia

Silvia could feel the awkwardness of her not speaking seeping into her fur. She should have verbally accepted his help, but she guessed it was too late now. As he pulled the other branch toward her with his paws, she could tell where he was going with this. Silvia stepped half her weight onto one branch, and half her weight onto the other, and luckily enough the branches stopped wobbling as much. She stepped quickly to the near ends of the limbs and jumped onto the wall easily. She smiled at Jasper, "Thank you." she said, it felt weird saying those words to a hunter...for hunters were the ones who killed her father. But she couldn't think of that now, she had to think about why she was here, she needed to learn more about the city and the hunters themselves...and it wouldn't hurt to learn about the humans as well.

 Jasper

Once she was on the wall Jasper released the branch and like a heavy mousetrap it sprung up back into place, but not without a heavy seed getting whipped off. This happened to be a tree that bore large seeds almost the size of a baseball, and though the tree was not in season, Jasper was unlucky enough to have one in particular that had never fallen off, until he let go of that branch.
With a thud the rock hard seed hit him on the head.
"Ow!" He snapped, shrinking back and glaring up at the tree branch. Of all the rotten...and of course it had to happen in front of another apprentice. Jasper's pride was instantly wounded.

 Silvia

Silvia walked to the edge of the wall and looked out over the city, it was actually pretty nice...other than the horrible horrible smell. She looked back at Jasper right as a big seed hit his head, she tried her hardest to restrain from laughing, but couldn't help a tiny giggle. She looked at the ground below, nervous to step on hunter ground. She hadn't been this close to the city, not to mention IN IT, ever. Silvia looked back at Jasper once more waiting for him. For she didn't know what to do next, should she jump down, should she wait for him? She didn't have a clue...all she knew was she had to find out more about the hunters and the city.

 Jasper

After feeling humiliated, Jasper forgot he had offered to help her down, so in a huff he marched across the wall to a safe spot to jump down without landing in a shrub and landed with a graceful plop worthy of his training and rather characteristic for him. Jasper was actually rather graceful considering he was growing into a large leopard, though he still had some of his teenage swag in the way he walked. Realizing he wasn't sure where Silvia was planning on going, it occurred to him she may have thought he was taking her somewhere. "So...where to?" He asked. Crud he was so bad at this.

 Silvia

Silvia watched Jasper walked to the edge and jump down gracefully, she wondered if she could jump down without looking like an idiot. Silvia readied herself, then jumped, landing perfectly...exceeept her back paw landed sideways and therefore was in much greater pain than she let him see. She quickly shook it out and lightly limped over to him. "I'm not sure...i've never been here before." she said truthfully, she didn't want to make up a whole big story of why she was here or something, but if she needed to she would. She followed Jasper, "How about we go somewhere to get a drink of water?" she said realizing she was actually really thirsty.

 Jasper

She had done a good job of concealing the injury. If Jasper hadn't done the same thing months ago, and if he wasn't so naturally observant, he wouldn't have ever noticed, but he did. It was like he could zero in on injuries, but Silvia obviously didn't want it known so he looked away, and racked his brain for the nearest source of water. There were always water barrels that collected rain water from roofs, but it wasn't the cleanest, and he felt like she probably deserved something cleaner. There was a fountain down the road, if the square wasn't too busy the water would at least be cold.
"Come on, I can get you some water." He said starting off, taking care not to walk too fast.

 Silvia

Silvia could tell Jasper saw her injury, but he looked away soon and she was glad he didn't point it out. She nodded to Jasper and followed him, she was nervous about going deeper into the city, more hunters and humans and dogs...she was also nervous this cat was being nice to her just to lure her farther into the city. But she was also very excited...she was probably one of the first apprentices to go into the city by herself in a long time, well...without being captured. "So...you're an apprentice as well?" she asked the Leopard beside her.

 Jasper

Jasper was glad to see the square was mostly unoccupied. As much as he loved the city he still preferred when things were quiet.
"Of course I'm an apprentice. The only other alternative is being a pet, and pets are good for nothing but sleeping and getting fat." He said leading her over to the fountain. "No, the most honorable thing I could ever want to be is a hunter. To keep this place safe."

 Silvia

Silvia followed the leopard into a pretty empty square with a fountain in the center. She followed him as she lead her to the water, she nodded as she listened to him "Yeah that makes sense." she said, stopping herself before she told him about her becoming a gladiator. For some reason this cat was way too easy to talk to. At least he's doing something instead of being a lazy pet...even if it is to be a hunter. But then again, if she was born in this city she would probably have done the same thing. Which made Silvia think, the hunters think they're doing the right thing...even though they are destroying lives out in the empires, they are also helping lives in the city...well...some of them. Silvia bent her head down to the water and lapped at the refreshing liquid. Afterwards she sat down and cleaned her face and paws, wondering what to do now.

 Jasper

Jasper glanced around the square and yet found his eyes drawn to watch Silvia drink. She seemed to be this constant battle of peace and anxiety. One minute she looked ready to spook the next she was so at ease Jasper couldn't help but feel himself relax along with her.
"What are your humans like?" He found himself asking without thinking about it. Not paying attention enough to his surroundings, Jasper didn't pick up the sounds from the creatures approaching the square. They were hounds, not strays but very territorial. And at the moment, they had free reign. Jasper had never had any bad run in with dogs, her had given them a wide berth as a cub and now they gave him a respectful distance now that he was bigger, but there were 3 dogs, and they were braver than they would be otherwise.

 Silvia

Silvia listened to him, and when he asked that question she froze, she didn't know how to answer...maybe she should just say she's a traveler or maybe that she lives on a farm far away. She was so lost in her thoughts she too didn't hear the sounds of the canines approaching. But as soon as they came into view her fur bristled and she jumped up next to Jasper, her tail flicking back and fourth. She had never been this close to a hound...she has only ever seen them on the dusty human trails. Silvia looked to Jasper, not knowing how to handle the situation she decided she would follow his lead.

 Jasper

Silvia seemed lost for words, and Jasper wondered if he had asked the wrong question. He didn't have time to apologize though because she jumped just as one of the hounds began barking. Jasper instinctively stepped in front of her growling fiercely at the three hounds, his hair along his neck and hackles raised. Jasper had never looked in a mirror, so he would never know how scary he really looked.
This hound though had a fancy for chasing off cats, even the big ones, and seeing that his pack outnumbered the yearlings the alpha was in the mood for a good chase and perhaps land a good bite or two.
Feeling stupid for not paying better attention Jasper glanced around without moving his head, only his eyes and memory. There was an empty wagon just to their left up against a shop.
"Silvia." He said smoothly through his bared teeth at the dogs. "Can you make it to that wagon?" Whether she felt she could or not, he would make sure these mutts didn't touch her, dogs were a class below Hunters and Jasper was determined to put them in their place.

 Silvia

Jasper jumped in front of the hybrid feline and growled fiercely. Silvia's eyes widened as she never thought a hunter would do anything to protect anyone else other than their own hunters. But this cat had proven to be different again and again...maybe hunters weren't that bad. But silvia didn't have any time to think about that, because the alpha dog snarled at the two cats. As Jasper spoke through his bared teeth, she nodded, "I can. But what about you? I can't just leave you here??" she said with a fiery look, "They're no match for us!"

 Jasper

At Silvia's words Jasper couldn't help but smile, he glanced over at her his ruby red eyes holding hers for a moment. She meant it, she wanted to fight. Jasper felt torn, he didn't want her to get hurt, but who was he to say she couldn't take the hounds. She was an apprentice too after all.
"Alright." He agreed as the dogs began to approach, branching out to surround them. Jasper instantly began calculating. "See the one to the left? It isn't the smallest but it's hind right leg limps slightly. Knock out that leg and he wont want to fight anymore." He informed her. His scanning eyes observed the other two. He had them for sure. "You ready?"

 Silvia

Silvia looked up at Jasper, her eyes holding onto his for a short moment. Then they both looked away and back to the approaching dogs. She smiled as he lightly said "Alright." Her whole life everyone has wanted to protect her for being so small and so helpless...but kostenlos has been a mighty good mentor, and her father taught her a few of his own tricks...she was ready to try them out in real battle instead of those stupid mock battle things that makes sure no one gets hurt. Silvia listened closely to Jasper and nodded as he spoke, she definitely could see the slight limp in the dogs leg. But if she took that one that would leave the other two for him, could he handle those two?? Of course she could probably handle two herself, but she wanted to see what this cat was made of. Her claws slid out and she prepared herself to fight. Silvia leaped at the dog with outstretching claws as soon as the dog was close enough to reach in one leap. She quickly clawed at the dogs face and chest, whipped around to its side and tried to knock the leg out from under itself. This hound wasn't the biggest of the three, and it definitely wasn't the smallest, which made her happy. Silvia leaped back waiting for the dogs retaliation and glanced at Jasper to see how he was doing.

 Jasper

The hound seemed surprised to have the smaller of the two cats be the first to start the fight. The one Silvia had attacked hadn't expected there would be much of a fight and as her claws made contact with his face he yelped out in surprise and defensive anger. His chest was far too muscled for him to have felt the contact there and by the time she had moved to his side he instinctively shifted to protect his leg, his teeth aiming for her scruff and then her extended paw as he braye'd loudly.

Jasper meanwhile was ready for what he knew would follow. Silvia jumped at the dog he had indicated to, which was a tan hound, and immediately the smallest of the three, a dark almost black dog sprang to its companions rescue. Jasper had anticipated this and with a leap and a powerful swipe he sent the hound flying into the alpha who had closed in fangs bared. The black hound collided into the alpha and the two cried out as they were knocked back and tangled together.
Jasper had gotten what he wanted though, both dogs were distanced from Silvia and even as they were quickly getting to their feet he was on top of them. Their fight was with him and now he had their full attention.

 Silvia

The hound Silvia had attacked seemed surprised, which was a good thing. She had time to do what she wanted, but when she got around to trying to knock the dog off its feet it protected its leg very well. The dog came at her with teeth bared, aiming for her scruff. She quickly withdrew and ducked under the snapping jaws. She then stood up with as much force and knocked her shoulders into the dogs neck and chin. The hound grunted and coughed but quickly recovered and snapped at her shoulder, catching some fur. Silvia let out a loud growl and stepped back. With her eyes gleaming and her tail lashing she swiped her paws at the dogs face then as fast as she could she jumped around the dog and swiped his feet out from under him. Jasper was taking on two of the dogs, and as soon as this one ran off she would instantly go to help him.

She stood there waiting for the dog to get back up, and took in a few deep breaths. Right as the dog was standing up Silvia raced toward the hound with outstretched paws, and scratched the canine's legs. By this point the hound was howling with rage and pain. Silvia quickly stepped back from the snapping jaws, but she wasn't fast enough, and her ear got caught in the dogs mouth. Not all of it, just a little bit of the tip...but boy did it hurt. Silvia retaliated quickly and smacked the hound's head and legs trying to unbalance him, then she went around and this time she would definitely knock this dog over on his hurt leg. On the other side this time she knocked the dogs paws out from under him, sending the dog into a wailing spree. The dog then fled and she looked back at Jasper. She was ready to help him now.

 Jasper

The smaller of the dogs let out a yelp loud as a scream as Jasper's heavy rear paws landed on its head. It wasn't the small dog Jasper was concerned about, after having been thrown into the alpha, tangled up with it on the ground and then stepped on the hound was ready to leave if it could only get up. The problem was it couldn't. Jasper was in a flurry of a scuffle with the alpha, who turned and twisted its body kicking and biting at Jasper in attempts to get up, but Jasper was relentless. Letting his instincts kick in rather than over thinking it, he moved with the hound, taking its bites and its kicks as in turn his claws clung to the hound, ripping through its short hide and biting more than once around the hounds neck.
The fight was not long, it didn't need to be, though any human who's windows faced the courtyard would have thought all hell broke lose with the amount of noise made between cat and hound.
Once it had finally broken free the smaller hound lept to its feet yipping like a puppy as it raced after its fleeing companion. The alpha got one more good bit in on Jasper's cheek, making Jasper snarl and swat the alpha across the head so hard the force separated the two.
Leaping to its feet and seeing it was alone against two cats now the alpha turned tail and ran. Blood still pumping in his ears Jasper chased after him, fangs bared at its rump until it had cleared the courtyard and was then left to run humiliated and bleeding down the street.
Jasper stopped, his panting coming out in snarls as he watched the hound flee. He had blood around his mouth, and his cheek was bleeding slightly under his right eye. From his shoulders to his paws the hounds powerful bite was beginning to show, but Jasper didn't feel the pain, not yet anyway, it was when he finally turned to face Silvia again that the sharp realization started. "Ow." He thought only to himself, that was when he noticed her ear. "Are you alright?" He asked he, padding over to get a better look at it.

 Silvia

Silvia soon saw that Jasper didn't need her help. He had already made the small one flee right after she made hers run off, and now the only thing he had to do to the alpha was smack his head and they were done. Silvia walked up to Jasper, panting. She sat down and started licking her wounds, which didn't hurt much because of the adrenaline. She looked up at Jasper, "I doubt they'll be messing with you from now on." she said half jokingly.

 Jasper

Jasper smirked and winced when he did. His cheek hurt, but it was just an annoying pain, and he didn't want to look weak in front of Silvia. "Yeah, sometimes you just have to remind them who is boss. Dogs tend to be stupid enough to forget the difference between a housecat and a hunter." He was concerned about her ear though. "Silvia, come with me, I know someone who can get you cleaned up." He said, padding up to her and turning in the direction of his home, which was only a block away.

 Silvia

Silvia smiled at him and glanced at his cheek. "Are you okay? That looks painful." she said with a little worried look in her eyes. She didn't even know what she had to be worried about...he was a hunter. She stood up and nodded, "That would be nice, thanks." she said with a smile. She followed him through the rows of buildings, both big and small. She wondered how any-cat could live in this setting...no trees...no grass...no prey...or at least not many.

 Jasper

Jasper padded along the road, stealing glances at her. She sounded so calm, so why did Silvia look so...out of place? He turned his head forward and shook away the feeling as he led her to his home. They entered through a gate and the enormous yard opened up before them. Jasper wished he could hide the expansive gardens and statues from Silvia's view. If she was from a farm, she probably wasn't used to something so ritzy. Though he hadn't personally visited a farm, he had talked to cats that new what farms were like. He wasn't trying to show off the wealth or anything, so Jasper felt his cheeks blush.
He was in luck, Anabeth was out in the lawns. He gave a little grunt of a greeting to Anabeth who looked up from her cross stitching and smiled upon seeing him, a smile that immediately turned to a worried frown.
"Jasper! There weren't any fights scheduled for today, why are you all bloody?" She asked jumping to her feet and racing up to meet him. As she did so she noticed Silvia and her soft grey eyes turned up in a smile. "She is beautiful, Jasper don't tell me you were showing off for a girl."
Jasper's blush got worse. Why did Anabeth have to be such a girl
"Come on you two, lets get these cuts clean so you don't get any scars."

 Silvia

Silvia followed Jasper, she definitely noticed the glances he 'sneakily' stole, but she didn't mind much, she was too involved in the scenery. As they walked further the buildings hot larger and more extensive. Jasper turned into a walkway underneath a giant gate. And as she walked in she saw the prettiest flora. The grass was extremely green, there were many different flowering trees and pots with many beautiful flowers. Fountains pillowing down in a rainbow of water...she had never seen such beautiful flowers before, or trees for that matter. In her awe she didn't notice her mouth gaping, or the human coming toward them. As soon as she saw the human she stepped back. She has never interacted with humans...and with the stories going around they didn't seem like nice creatures. But...who knows...this one could be nice. And Jasper seemed to be fine. Silvia heard the weird creature talk...or at least she thought it was talking, she herself couldn't understand anything it said...but it seemed Jasper had, and apparently the human had said something embarrassing or something because Jasper was blushing. As the human walked toward the house Jasper followed it, and with that Silvia followed Jasper. She walked into the huge building, and a little daunted by the size, she kept close to the male next to her. "Where is she taking us?" She asked the hunter apprentice, wondering if they were going to trap her somewhere or something like that.

 Jasper

Jasper couldn't help but feel...strange, as the closer they got to the manor the closer Silvia got to him. Even to the point of bumping lighting into his side. He liked it, but he didn't know why.
Anabeth had decided not to take him through the main corridors and instead to the servants chamber. It was a warm clean place that was away from the hustle of the rest of the house.
"Sorry, she is taking us to the servant chambers where they have clean water and bandages." He explained, feeling bad he hadn't said something sooner.
Anabeth opened the heavy door and asked for clean water to be brought, insisting that she didn't need help and excused the two servants who were in the room. Warm sunlight streamed into the room that smelled of good cooking and what remained of the fire.
Anabeth sat down on a stool, grabbing a wash cloth and after getting it wet began to clean off her boy, holding his head still as she started with his face, gently wiping all the blood away and applying a cream that felt cool on Jaspers cut and made it tingle as the remedy soothed it.
"You sure know how to pick them Jasper. She seems to like you. Has't left your side. Do you think she will let me clean her up to?" Anabeth asked as she worked, moving down his chest and legs.

 Silvia

Silvia ended up walking closer and closer to Jasper as they walked through the building, so close that their fur brushed and their shoulders bumped lightly on multiple occasions. They went to a place called the "servant chambers" which was a nice cozy place, still bigger than she would have though for any servants. Silvia nodded and followed Jasper and the human girl through a heavy door and into a room with a small crackling fire and some other people machinery she didn't understand. She watched the fire, Why would they ever let fire into this place? Wont it just get out of control and burn everything? she thought to herself and she kept up with the male. Soon they stopped and the human got out a bucket of water, a piece of cloth, and a little bowl filled with something green and mushy...probably some sort of medicine. She watched as Jasper sat in front of the human while it washed the blood from his cheek and put the green medicine onto it. The human spoke again, and she looked at Jasper, wondering what it had said this time. "What did she say?" Silvia asked Jasper at last, her curiosity taking over her.

 Jasper

Fortunately Jasper was too relieved that Silvia hadn't been paying attention to what Anabeth had said to ask why she didn't understand herself. Deciding to skip to the only important part he glanced over at her and repeated. "She wants to know whether or not you will let her clean you up. I don't know what your farm humans are like, but I promise Anabeth will be gentle."

 Silvia

Silvia waited for him to speak, and she glanced up at the human who was cleaning the cloth. She looked back at Jasper, "I don't interact with my humans that much...but i guess she can. It's better that them getting infected." she said in reply. Silvia stepped a little closer to the girl, still a bit tense, but if Jasper is okay with this human she was too.

 Jasper

Jasper didn't move, letting Sylvia come to him where he stood in front of Anabeth. There it was again, he felt funny, a kind of feeling that made him scared to move. Now he knew for a fact that he didn't like this feeling. Any cat that made it so he couldn't move was taboo in Jasper's world, and he took the smallest step back. But then, why did he not want the feeling to go away?
Anabeth brought a soft hand up and placed it gently and slowly on Silvia's head, giving the strange cat a moment to realize she meant her no harm, before she brought the cloth up to start cleaning Silvia's ear. "There we go, gotta keep Jasper's girl pretty don't we?"

 Silvia

Silvia sat down next to Jasper, and he took a small step back, and she wondered why he did that, but she didn't really notice much because the human was already cleaning her ear. It stung a bit, but after a while it felt almost soothing. The girl named "Anabeth" then moved on to her shoulder and cleaned that up, ending with putting the green stuff onto both her injuries. She still couldn't understand the human, but the sound of her voice was getting more natural sounding to Silvia. She looked at Jasper and smiled, then looked up at the human. In gratitude, Silvia headbutted the girls lead very lightly and returned back next to Jasper.

 Jasper

Jasper took advantage of Silvia's distraction to observe her. Okay, he was staring at her. She seemed unreal, which was both fascinating and unnerving. He wanted her to leave, but felt like he would lose some kind of magic if she did. Seeing Anabeth's hands on Silvia made her seem more real though, so he watched silently.
"You're welcome." Anabeth said softly, smiling at Silvia's little head bump. "Alright I will leave you two alone." She said standing up and heading for the door. "Jasper, no more fighting." She threw back at him before leaving.

 Silvia

Silvia could feel eyes staring at her, and she couldn't tell if it was Jasper or if it was someone else, but she couldn't quite move with Anabeth putting the medicine on. Soon Anabeth spoke a short goodbye and then left the two felines alone. She didn't quite know what to say, and she felt weirdly awkward. "Thank you for bringing me here to get my wounds dressed." she said when the silence got too much for her. She stood up and stretched her limbs, her shoulder wound stinging.

 Jasper

"Yeah sure." Jasper said feeling lame as he stood up himself and then began padding for the backdoor. "Come on, this way. I suppose you should be heading back." It felt...sad, not having more to talk about with her, but talking had never been one of Jasper's strong suits. He was just a quiet cat, he didn't open up, and he didn't see that changing, although he had this horrible feeling that if she asked the right question, he wouldn't be able to stop himself from answering.

 Silvia

Silvia smiled at Jasper as they walked out of the big building. The silence was nice, well it felt a bit awkward, but she wasn't the most talkative cat...and it seemed neither was he. For some reason, she was a little sad that she had to leave the city...even though she hates the hunters, especially for killing her father, but this cat couldn't be much older than her which meant at the time of the war he was still a cub, or close enough, just like her. She knew Jasper didn't kill her father, but that doesn't mean he hasn't killed anyone before. Silvia shook the thought out of her head for it made her nervous. As they walked the silence, once again, got to much for her to bear. She looked up at Jasper, "So...do you have any family around here?" she asked him.

 Jasper

Jasper should have known she was just trying to break the silence. There was a time when he would flinch horribly should anyone bring up the topic of family, but those emotional wounds had scarred over, and so even though his shoulder twitched at her question, otherwise he didn't even break his stride down the street.
"No. I don't have any family." His tone wasn't mean, it was soft, but distant like a sweet memory.

 Silvia

Silvia seemed to have struck a nerve in Jasper and she quickly flattened her ears, "Oh im sorry! I shouldn't have asked that..." she said apologizing. She knew what it was like to have lost someone close to you, and so she knew the exact look in Jasper's eyes, even though he was doing such a great job at hiding it. "I've lost some of my family too." she said looking at her off-white feet.

 Jasper

Jasper raised his head in total surprise. "Silvia calm down." He said before he could stop himself. "It's alright it happened a long time ago." He said having come to a stop and looking at her with concern. It was strange. For as long as he could remember he had only thought about how alone he was in his pain, and now this cat, made him suddenly not want to think about it anymore.

 Silvia

Silvia looked up at Jasper, and gave him a sheepish smile, she didn't know what to do, she felt as if she was in a very strange situation, she both wants to run and stay...she wants to go cry alone and stay and comfort Jasper. Of course she didn't bolt because that would be super rude, especially because he has done so much for her. She looked around and soon saw the was, "I better get back soon, otherwise i might get in trouble." She lead the way to the wall and hopped up the way she came down this morning. She waited for Jasper at the top, "It's been so fun to hang out with you." She said, a weird feeling in her stomach starting to appear. She sighed and looked at her feet once more, she was sad she had to go...because she knew she could never see him again. "Thank you for everything Jasper, and even though we'll probably never see each other again im glad we met" she leaned over to him and bumped his nose with hers lightly. She blushed quickly, "Goodbye Jasper." she said as she walked over to the edge of the wall and into the tree, then leaped down onto the ground.
Silvia walked into the forest away from the male, wondering why she had this pit of unhappiness building inside her.

 Jasper

When Silvia said she had to go, Jasper got a strange knot in his stomach. He didn't want her to leave? Is that was he was feeling? Besides, no one had ever told him he was fun to hang out with. Could that even be possible. He was in a bit of a funk when she said they might never see each other again, so the last thing he had expected was to feel her warm nose touch his before she turned away blushing, heading up and over the wall.
His heart was beating so fast he would have thought he was about to take on a tiger in the ring.
He watched her go, happier than he had felt in a long time...so why was he now so miserable?
Turning back towards the city, Jasper padded away from the wall. Would they ever see each other again? Jasper realized, he really hoped so.
