Character: Amaya

Another Challenge I came across on Intstagram and found super interesting to do with Amaya.

I‘m not sure how well known Amayas backstory is, here over on my main account
Making a long story short - Amaya grew up in a household with a single father, who was extremely controling over his only child and who built up a lot of pressure on her. Starting with being strict about her being good in school and becoming a strong ninja, it got worse over the years - up until the time she ranked up to a Chunin and Jonin, when he even got violent towards her, to keep her under control. Amaya kept this to herself and stuggled with it alone.

Until one day - when she already was in training with Ibiki - her father suddenly lost it and punched her in the face. That was the moment, when Amaya gathered up the courage to finally leave her home for good. After a bit of convincing, she finally entrusted the truth to Ibiki, too, who then helped her turn her life for the better.

Okay, enough of story time - I hope it didn‘t bore you too much

This was actually super fun to work on and I am pretty proud of how both of the sketches turned out. Especially of Amayas expressions

On the other hand though, I noticed how much I still need to work on my indoor backgrounds. But honestly, this was a good practice

Currently I‘ve come to realize, that the best way for me to relax after work is to put my phone far away, put on head phones, turn on music and to draw. It‘s become such a nice way to unwind from reality So - there might be one or two more pieces coming along, we‘ll see
