This year is extra special, because it has been ten years since Lucario's movie debuted.First time drawing Mega Lucario. And I have no idea what I'm doing with the background.
I haven't been around much again. I've been stressed by all sorts of stuff, and it's made me lose motivation and energy with a tendency to isolate myself. Of latest concern is my computer, which began displaying some major lag during start-up and shut down after it crashed. It's fixed itself now, but I have no idea how or why. I just hope it doesn't happen again!
I will work on my own personal issues and be more like the old lupyne again; I haven't been a good friend lately, and I'm sorry!
ExplanationThe name (Hadou no Hi) comes from the date in Japanese (８月１０日; 10th of August). 8 represents "Ha" while 10 signifies "Dou", and hence on this day every year, people celebrate by posting Lucario/Riolu fanart.

Oh, but I found the background to be pretty! I even see an Eiffel Tower in the distance! 
I had an idea of something for Aura Day, but I really haven't found the motivation to draw lately...
Anyway, I hope things are better for you soon! To tell the truth, I haven't been keeping up on contacting friends lately either. I want to send you a note sometime soon.

Thank you! Yeah, there is indeed a small tower in the middle area! I'm not sure what it was in the stock photo, but it looked like some sort of mini-pyramid, so I changed it into a tower. It reminded me of Lumiose when I was making it, but every other part of the city was randomly generated.
Don't worry about it! There's no need to draw anything, really.
I hope everything's going well! There's no rush; life gets busy from time to time after all! I pretty much disappeared for months without a sound though, but hopefully that will change.

I wanted to draw something, but time passed faster than I thought. Lately I can't seem to get past a blank page of paper... I've only had success finishing scribbles on Miiverse...
I've just been less than confident these days, but I think things are working out. I just need to stay positive!

I always forgot about this. You think eventually I could make it so I have a chapter of my story out on this date. Not happening today though unless I some how manage to write well over 5 thousands words.

I have been making decent progress on my own story. After two years and 38 chapters, it is now two-thirds the length of yours XD.

Ah don't worry about it. Life comes first! My story won't be going anywhere and you can read it whenever you find the time. While not the most regular with my updates, I do try and get at least 2 chapters to a 3 month period.

Nah, this wasn't based off Ferrous City. I used a stock photo as a reference, and portions of it are incorporated in the back-most parts of this picture.
From there I randomly built the city towards the front, which is why the front is messier than the back.
There's a little tower there that reminds me of Lumiose City from Pokemon X/Y!
Virus was my first thought! Scans didn't reveal anything though, but I've been keeping a close eye for any suspicious behaviours in the computer.

Hey you're back! Looking good on the picture! Also the computer could just be a small hiccup thing, sounds like your typical slowdown after a while. Could always try backing up your files and doing a clean windows install, speeds mine up.

I hope so -- I love my computer, and I would hate for anything to happen to it. I'll definitely do a backup soon, just to be safe.
I wonder what could have happened though. Even after I typed my password on start-up, the screen stays on "Welcome" for a long time before moving on to a black screen. It then stays that way for a while before the desktop wallpaper and shortcuts finally appear.
It was like that for a while, and then somehow, everything seems normal again.

Oh yeah, it's going fine.
It COULD be the hard drive possibly going out. I was told to replace them every 3 years or so, after a while they start to get hard to read from and it'll slow the computer down. They go bat sometimes, but definitely have everything backed up.

Yes, I also think that's a possibility. My computer's only about two and a half years old, but I guess hard drives can fail anytime. Plus, there have been a couple of forced shutdowns in the past month, which could worsen the condition. I'll keep an eye on it.

Ah, yeah that's definitely not good on it. Luckily hard drives have been dropping in price, and a decent 1TB drive will only set you back maybe $50 or so. If it's gone bad anyway.

It's been a while indeed! Life certainly had its ups and downs, but I'm hoping to get over the troubling things and be more active again online. I keep worrying that people will be angry with me due to the large number of comments I have yet to reply to.

as for me, life's been a B as well, though i'm trying to write more to improve my English xD I wrote some chinese short stories too, and i'm still trying to find someone to help me translate those (i just hate translating because it's so much work xD)
Plus, I don't think people would be /that/ mean to get angry with you because of not replying xD it's just something you have to deal with sometimes.

It's really cool that you've written in Chinese! While I can listen and speak simple Mandarin, I'm afraid I can't read or write the characters. A lot of my offline friends can speak it, so it's fun trying to converse with them in Mandarin.
I feel very guilty for dropping off the face of the Internet every so often. There are a lot of friends I've not spoken to in a while, and it's definitely not good of me to stay out of touch for so long. I managed to respond to some today at least, and I'll be responding more from tomorrow.

Video games are a really good examples of fiction English, I agree, but sometimes I'm just lazy to read the wall of text an in game journal/backstory has to offer xD
Well, I'm sort of an expert in Chinese because I study Higher Chinese as a subject in my school. Though it's kinda hard to juggle because I learn 6 languages(including dialects)...

I sometimes skip walls of text if there's too many names and terms I don't recognise, which is more common in some RPGs. I think some games build a universe very large (which could span across several installments in the series, even) with many different unfamiliar terms, such that it can be difficult to keep track of. Some games give their own names for different months, for example. While it may fit the universe better, it can also be harder to remember all the words.
That said, I love games with lots of things to examine and read.
I tried learning Mandarin in kindergarten, but the writing and reading was too hard for me, and hence I dropped it.
Higher Chinese is really impressive! Juggling these languages in school must indeed be tough; I can imagine the amount of homework!

Ironically, I like to play RPGs, for whatever reason that I find them very immersive, which is my style of gaming.
For me, learning Chinese is like a compulsory for me, because the culture here is that "if you're a Chinese and you can't read/understand Chinese you are a disgrace" and anything along that line will be looked down upon too.

I'll look into it. I'm guessing it has something to do with a process that glitched after the force shutdown. It's strange though, because usually these are fixed after a restart.

You are welcome, and you are right that may be a glitch but defragmanting your Pc from time to time would alsohelp with lags or slow start-up of Pc.
