It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Yessiree, everything's better with a bag of weed! Even Especially forbidden teacher/student romances.

I killed two birds with one stone here. I made a pic celebrating the day (Or at least the positive aspect of it - no tasteless Columbine or Hitler jokes from me!) and also illustrated a scene from Dead Connie Society. Usually I just do that with base edits, but today is a special day (and besides there's no pot smoking bases. Fun fact: For all the weirdness that goes on there, Japan doesn't really have a drug culture.) This was really fun to draw actually. Almost as fun as writing the dialog for that scene. Here it is in case you forgot:

(Meg and Mr. Weaver are discussing the mess they've gotten into)

Mr. Weaver: (takes another puff of his joint) You know, the school's memorial service for Connie is tomorrow. You'll have to come up with a third poem by morning. I could help you.

Meg: (massaging her temples) Ugh! So much pressure. (holds out hand) Lemme have a puff of that. (Mr. Weaver hands her the joint, she takes a long drag from it. 10 minutes later, they're both sitting on the ground, smoking and giggling) So like, when I was a kid, dad dragged the whole family to see Dumb and Dumber, and I like, totally thought the other guy... you know, the one who wasn't Jim Carrey...

Mr. Weaver: Yeah?

Meg: ...was Dave Coulier from Full House! (they both totally crack up) But it was really Jeff Bridges!

Mr. Weaver: Jeff Daniels.

Meg: What?

Mr. Weaver: Jeff Daniels was the one in Dumb and Dumber. He was also in RV. Jeff Bridges was in The Fisher King.

Meg: Oh. (takes another puff. Pauses) I saw the trailer for RV. It looked like it really sucked. I mean, it looked like they took a rejected Simpsons episode, stretched it out to what, two hours? And added poop jokes.

Mr. Weaver: I thought they were trying to recapture the spirit of National Lampoon's Vacation, but ultimately missed the mark. (takes a puff) But, man, JoJo is HOT!

Meg: Yeah, she's prettier than me...

Mr. Weaver: Oh please, on the inside she's just another mass-marketed teeny-bopper pop star who will ultimately break down in a spiral of drugs, alcohol, and promiscuous sex. But you have something special she doesn't..... (long pause) something... something... something about poetry. Weren't we talking about poetry earlier?
(And then we get back to the plot )

I love writing weird, rambling dialog like that. It comes naturally to me.

But of course, there are a couple of things in this pic that no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make perfect. First of all I accidentally made Meg look too fat. I didn't mean too, it's just the way the sketch turned out and I pretty much followed the sketch. Also, Mr. Weaver's nose... look, he's "played" by Robin Williams in the fic so I drew him like the FG artists draw Robin. It's not my fault they gave him a crooked nose the size of a semi-truck. Speaking of noses, I think I put Meg's up a little too high. I try to follow official art as close as I can, but I guess my eyeballing skills do need work.
Despite that, I'm pretty damn proud of this pic. Oh, I also suppose you noticed that the caption looks a little... off. I had to use two different fonts because the FG font I downloaded didn't have numbers for some reason so I had to used the closest I had to it for the date (the Pokemon font ). Still, it's the message that counts.

(Note: I tried damn well to submit this EXACTLY at 4:20 AM, but DA fucked up... so I ended up staying up all night for NOTHING. Way to ruin everything, DA.)
