Description And here is the first map for the world of Alternomica!!! Currently- only focusing on the region that the game is taking place in! It's largely empty due to still being filled out one location at a time.

Westreach is the current region being played and is a heavily forested coastal province separated from the rest of the continents by a Massive Mountain Range. It is near the northern tip of the continent- even having it's entire north coast be frozen forests and tundra.

It's native peoples are human (resembling North American First Nations) being of medium brown skins with reddish tones and dark hair and eyes.

Save the southern half (where Spring's Grace is) the region is largely cool.

........................................................................

Major Locations:

Springs' Grace: Current Kingdom Focus- a relatively young kingdom (just passing 83rd anniversary.) It is notable for not being built in a hidden location or carved out of a cave or mountain, being built in the open woods. It's founding family (thus the nobles/royalty) the Northstars are it's dominant governing body. Being in such an not hidden place- it attracts most of the trade from neighboring kingdoms and even other regions. It also has it's own "Academy" devoted to the study of magic- the Mage Tower.
- - - The Fountain of Bounty- a naturally occurring spring of magical water to the north of Spring's Grace. Currently under the Northstar's family protection by their elite guards. The magical water here causes massive growth in virtually all living things.

Slatewell: Neighboring Kingdom- the kingdom that the Northstars used to be a member of. It is hidden in its mountains and nigh impossible to find unless you're looking for it. It's kingdom is more an oligarchy of the clan leaders rather than a monarchy.

Wilderness:
- - - Everbloom Cave- The cavern that Minarra Northstar caught wind of and believes to hold a rare and powerful alchemical/magical flower. It is located a few days north of Spring's Grace. Exactly what lives there is unknown- though Goblin nomads are commonly seen in the northern forests.

....................................................

Notes to the peoples:

Westreach is currently the only defined Province of the Sole Continent of Alternomica (For now- others MIGHT get involved but for now one.) As such- other Provinces surely exist and are the native homelands of Caucasian characters, Asian characters, Elves, Dwarves, Etc.

So naturally- suggestions and bits of writing are more than welcome!

A whole world map is on the to-do list. :3

How about this, Dragon Fang is a mountain range containing 5 dragons, that's a big reason the neighbors do intervene with our affairs, as Dragons are like gods. Unless one of the Dragons is taken down, relations with neighbors may never be established, unless some genius find a way to navigate those glaciers up top, or found out why people disappeared when they neared that mysterious island to the south.

Hmmm~ A dragon in dragon's fang mountains... I think 1 would be enough. Any more I think is too many. Given their mere slumber affects the world around them. I have a plan for the Dragon of Size/Strength/Giants so what could be here....

So which type of Dragon would you have sleeping in the mountain range.

Since we have the fountain of bounty, why not say it's the dragon powering it?

Ahhh, it's really great to see world-building like this! I have trouble with designing precise geography and you provide a lot of inspiration.

I'd like to say again that I like how you focus on specific ethnicities being native to an area rather than the usual 'its like this real world place but different' apparoach.

I really love the concept of the fountain of bounty~ its very fine to see expansion and growth things being justified and even normalized in a series!

this looks cool. im just gonna throw this out and say that the evergreen forest part is going to involve a mythic rare creature find/kill/capture type quest. then again maybe the mountain region will too but that's just me
