Description This thought came to me as I was randomly pixelling an 'empty' outline of an emote. I don't quite know if there was any inspiration for this piece, or if there's already an identical piece out there. It sure reminds me of something... Either way, it's a poor little emote being left out, so much so that his colour has just drained away. He's so sad, he's just letting himself sag on the floor in a limp heap of sadness. )':
I didn't know whether to add expressions to the other emotes, but they looked a bit out of place when I did... so I just left them with eyes.

I guess because I'm just kinda quiet. I do my best to talk to people, but they don't really seem too interested in keeping up a conversation with me

That sucks! I'm really quiet too. But just hang around with people and try and talk as much as possible without being loud or obnoxious. And be interesting!
Once you start hanging out with people more, they'll want you to hang out with them more, and the cycle will go on. That's pretty much how I befriended the almost 150 kids in my year, to be honest.

No, whenever I try to do that, it only results in awkward silence and uncomfortable stares. Usually if it gets too much for the other people, they just take off and go somewheres else. Because I don't wanna be a nuisance, I just stay behind...

Sorry! I haven't been online in aaages.
If that doesn't work, then maybe try befriending a not-so-popular kid. Then make more and more friends. It's a lot easier to make friends if you already have some friends. And not-popular kids are usually quite easy to befriend. But careful, a lot of the really un-popular kids that I've encountered are really un-popular for a reason - they're horrible people.

Yeah, unpopular kids in my school don't really exist...and if they're so intolerable that others have rejected them then chances are high I've avoided them anyway...

I know I've already commented, but here's a constructive critique-type thing.

I love the idea of this, and you're getting loads better at shading your emotes. The contrast and colors and just...everything is awesome with the actual emotes

The expressions...I know you said you didn't know whether or not to add expressions, but I think that it could be loads better with expressions. What I get from this is that the emote is being left out of the group and everyone is friends in the group and enjoying themselves, and maybe not intentionally leaving him out, or maybe they are, but either way they're friends and they're enjoying being social together, so give them happy expressions, or make it look like they're having a conversation or something? Like make it look like they're doing something, being social...do you know what I mean?

And then to the empty outline...if you made a white emote [or like light grey] and then made it semitransparent, I feel like it would have more of an impact. I can see the white emote fine, but it's not noticeable. Also, he's slumped, and I know he's facing towards the group but to me that looks a little bit like he's trying to get in or going towards them. Feel free to disagree with this [or anything here ], but maybe if he's facing away from the group, looking sad?

Don't worry, I already started planning another version of this, with expressions and everything! (: What I was kind of aiming towards was that although the group are all friends, they're 'just having a chat', if you sort of see what I'm saying. xD What I mean, is that they're not purposely laughing and sounding like they're having a great time to make the other guy feel sad, they're just friends who are enjoying each other's company, unbeknownst to them that they're leaving the other guy out. But yeah, I can definitely see where you're coming from.

Damn and blast. I was actually thinking that exact same tihng earlier today; to have a white emote, just with low transparency... xD Dang. And the fact that he's slumped and looking towards the group also has an explanation. He's looking towards the group because he's thinking of joining them; but will he just be ridiculed for his efforts? He's debating whether or not to join in, whether or not to have fun. He's slumped because he's trapped in such a dilemma that he's just sunk into a bout of depression/sadness/thoughtfulness.

Great expression of the idea. The empty outline makes it look even more dejected than facial expressions ever could for an emote.
