My final assignment for my Illustrator class. I knew the program was intensive and building an image take a lot, but 404 separate paths and shapes to get this damn thing drawn.Related content

very nice work, must have taken a lot of patience, check out my ford mustang, its a lot more simple than this but it's my first attempt and i'm quite proud of it, keep up the great work....

I did at first, but compared to the photo I used for reference, it's spot on. There's light coming at that side and it puts a nice shine on the headlight. Weird, but true.

ha! when you're doing double that many paths let me know how you're feeling about it. good looking piece of work though and with no gadients either.

heh, I'll probably be dead by suicide if I have to use that many paths. thanks for the comment. I tried using some gradients, but they just looked too forced. even with the mesh tool.

yeah, they easily can look that way. i think when i see them like that, people are trying to use them to color too much at once .... they use them to replace drawing shapes. it sounds like you certainly appreciate the effort it took, now will you keep going?

that's the main thing i hate about illustrator is that they make every little stinkin thing it's own layer

I can't use Illustrator if my life depended on it it just frustrats me way too much. oh and i hate hate HATE the pen tool lol

oh yes, the pen tool sucks a lot until you get used to it. this whole piece was done with it. nothing else. I couldn't even use the shape tool because nothing fit right. no elipses or rectangles or anything.
