YIKES! What a mess. Not as nice as Titanic's Bow. But I understand why. If I'm correct her stern was still above water when the bow hit bottom snub noise.

Yes almost the same way Lusitania sank and in almost the same depth of water.

Darn! I saw a cool documentary on Britannic where a diver went in one of her Boiler rooms and found a water tight door WIDE open! YIKES . I think someone should go in their with an ROV and film all those rooms to see how many of those doors are opened. If they were all open then that explains it right there why she went so fast. They also took sonar images of what they think was parts of the mine she hit.

Another similarity with Lusitania was the watertight doors not closing because the torpedo destroyed the control cables so nothing in the ship worked.

I heard the stokers on Britannic was changing shifts to when she hit the mine. And those open portholes did not help matters none to. Much like Lusitania.

The captain would have closed the doors whatever was going on i think, the hole from the mine was so big i wouldnt be surprised if the cables were cut too.

That true. I wonder who gave the order for those two boats to be launched. Im sure they were launched without Captain Bartlett's approval.

Im sure there was alot of panic,it would have been difficult to give orders with people running and crowding the decks.

I think Britannic would have survived the war if she had been a troopship.
