Villian extraordinaire: The JokerDoodle from my sketchbook that I decided to slap some color on. As much as I loved the Heath ledger joker, I tend to prefer drawing him in the style of the comics or animated series. Enjoy!

I'm not even really a fan of the Joker but I couldn't help but notice how nicely rendered he is in this style. I'm loving the bone structure, eyes, nose, insanely exaggerated mouth still making sense on the face... the shapes in the hair and the 'messiness' of the sketch that betrays the way you've mapped out the features...luvly.

Looks really fuckin good. I mean it. I feel the same way about the heath ledger joker, but this looks so intensely good that I must collect it.
I also really like your whole illustration style, and I really dig some of your drawing for the watchmen. I hope ya keep the good art coming and coming. I'll be checking in on your page to see more and more.

yeah, I'm not a big comic book guy, but I do have a certain few. Mostly DORK issues by Evan Dorkin. and a whole buncha other random ones. mostly stuff that gives me a chuckle. As for THE WATCHMEN, well 2 of my best friends were really into it, and I probably wouldve never found out about it if it wasn't for them. one of em had the booklet and he let me barrow it. I got as far as 3/4ths of the booklet and never really finished it cuz I had to return it after a short while cuz I was goin out of town and I thought I'd give it back to him before I left. When I saw the movie, I was simply amazed at how good it was. It was til later that my pals told me that the ending was completely different than the graphic novel. When they mentioned a giant random ass octopus being dropped on New York, I guess I just started laughing pretty hard.
Anyways, sorry to ramble like that.
This really is a great joker. kinda makes me think of a more crazy version of the joker from the batman animated series. That was truely one of my favorite cartoons of all time growing up. it was so fuckin good. and this JOKER just looks crazy great. I mean it. GREAT JOB!

LOL yes, there is a giant squid/octopus. I kinda miss it in the movie. Its just too weird.

This is so cool! I love how the focus is thoroughly on the face and the neck is out of focus... which is odd because it's a drawing but it's extremely effective.

Yeah. Each movie Joker had something unique, but the comic/animated series Jokers were always the best
