Sorry to bother you, but how exactly do you 'age and distress' your artwork? I am trying to make a prop for a small play and I can't seem to get the right aged look to it. Do you use crackle medium or something?

yes. you would need a crackle medium between the 2 layers of paint. But it doesn't always turn out the way you want it. then sandpaper would come in handy to further create the distress.

This is pretty cool. I am more of a traditional 16th century style person, but it's nice to break the mold and create something anew.
