this is all from wintersession. pretty much did a LOT fo doodling and exploring with a set subject.THIS TIME i tried mimicking what i do on brown paper. kind of a turdy landscape.

The whole gritted down look is pretty awesome to behold. I especally like how it almost hides the troll beneath the bridge but not quite, which fits the feeling of the story if I remember it at all right.

Your billy goats gruff illustrations remind me a bit of classic illustration, maybe a bit like Arthur Rackham. I love you billy goat's gruff. Great work.

I like all of these...the colors and moods are great, as are the compositions (like on troll encounter, great point of view!) and I think I like the murkier/muddier colors too
