Description EDIT//

There we go. Fixed up the colours, finished the image.
Better now.

Full view is big, but what else is new.

I originally had hopes of completing alot of traditional art this summer. We're almost half way through and this is all I have so far. Slow, aren't I?

I don't think this one is completely finished, I might try and finish the collar and maybe add a poor excuse of a background, but this is all you guys are going to see. Unless I do something miraculous to it, which will most likely never happen. And just looking at it now, I think the face needs more colour.

But I suppose I'm pretty pleased with this. I wanted to get it done quickly, otherwise it would never get finished. Just like that wolf that I uploaded. That one I really want to finish, but it's going to take awhile.

This was pretty much for me to get back into the groove of drawing with my pencil crayons because I had fallen out of it for a bit. My dad works with someone that wants me to draw his dog, so I'm using this and several others to show him what I can do and what he would be getting. But I'm still working on prices.

Haha, just try to resist those begging eyes.

Comments are extremely appreciated.

My gosh, I never knew you were capable of this type of art as well. I love the floppy ears, the shine and volume in those eyes, and the fuzz on the dog's neck. You've got a lot of talent in color pencils.

Adding a background would be nice, probably a nice forest. Either than that, no crits. ^^

Talking about unfinished pieces T.T

I only finish, like, 1/5 part of what I start...

But, I like this updated version. *Yes, I remember the old one* There's more depth in his face now, and the colors seem more intens and warm too. The eyes are still beautiful, especially because they're made with traditional tools, they seem to gleam. And I think you caught the typical 'dog look' very very well. Cute and loyal eyes, but also a bit silly. If I draw dogs/wolves/foxes I always enjoy making noses the most. I always start coloring there. Great job

My sketchbook is like 90% full of unfinished art. Not to mention I've almost always got like 4 art projects on the go.

Thankyou.

This is wonderful! Those eyes are so pretty!

I'm not much of a dog person - bad experience - but this little guy is just so damn cute!

You are very good at traditional colouring. I envy your skills.

Hehe, thanks.
Yeah, I use references most of the time.
Usually, to colour my pictures, I press lightly but I use a ton of layers. Thats how you get the nice variation in the tones.

Aww it's adorable! I just want to hug 'im!
I think you're very skilled with pencil crayons, it looks realistic and those eyes are indeed irresistible. I know what you mean with losing interest in a piece, but if it's only a practice drawing that's ok. As long as you got practice
Anyways great work

Thanks so much.
I know. I've got so many unfinished pieces laying around here. I doubt I'll finish them all.
