Alright the costume is DONE! After 5 months of hard work I can finally put this project to rest. So far it wears well and no real stresses to worry about.The mid section paint refuses to cure and is damn sticky. You guys know how to solve that problem with the paint? If you do I'd appreciate it if you would let me know. I fear I may have to consider an alternative base material and re-do it. Oh well... Live and learn right?
It may not look it but I'm smiling the whole time under the mask...
I hope you guys like my Iron-Man/ War Machine Costume!

Funny thing is, I did not know where to start either. I simply discovered the techniques from the ingenious people at instructables.com/ and built my costume off tips and techniques I discovered there. I hope that helps you, good luck!

Are the weapons able to flip over your shoulders? If so, how did you get them to do that?

Yes the weapons slide up in a slot track. Manual movement only though. Grab and tug, or bow and have gravity slide them up.

i'm working on samurai armour made from Rubbermaid garbage cans (cut and laced together of course). i hope my armour looks as sweet as yours man !

Yes, I will be at Dragon Con this year. I will try to enter the masquerade too if I get the opportunity to do so. I have registered for the parade also. I think it would be cool to march with other heroes and villains. This costume placed for Best Workmanship in the novice class at Denvention3 - World Con #66 this last weekend.

Thanks, I wanted to make it look as cool as I could. I took some liberties with the kick arse armor from Avengers: Initiative for the War Machine and tweaked it some to make it a bit easier to make it all real world and stuff.

Extremely well done my friend! You should make another version of the armor using the Iron Man paint scheme. Then you and a buddy could walk around together.

Dorkie is as dorkie does. What is life without humor anyway? Do some research into them, Comic fans are uber-anal about their comic heroes. They will gladly let you have it if they think it that it is even slightly short of the heroes history or capabilities. Tread softly in that genre.

I mean, say I asked you to email me everything you knew about Iron Man...just little things about his personality and such things.
And the same for old Bats...just things I'd need to know.
And for Joker and Two Face as well?

Just what I asked. ^^ I need as much background on IM as possible. Character traits, how he is on a daily basis...if his love live with Pepper gets any better... Stuff like that. As much of it as you can fit into as many emails as possible. Also, any weaknesses of his suit would be appreciated...no matter how small.
I need any and everything on him, seeing as how I know very little.
And as for Batman, I know a little bit. I need to know everything you can get your grubby paws on concerning him and Joker and Two Face. Any little tidbit about how they play the cat and mouse that they do, or even defeats and why Bats lost to either one...doesn't matter. I want my Batman to have some faults and weaknesses, but I prefer they be somewhat Canonical. I have the long Halloween someplace...I wish I hadn't packed it. But like I said, that kind of stuff. I wanna actually do my homework on this one.
I want it to be good. With my own little flair. You know how I write ^^
