So pleased with this one.it's been a long time since i've done a watercolour portrait, my last was Alan Rickman but it wasn't that great. i love this though and i hope you do too.
I actually did this weeks ago and it's also a first version, i edited it later (again something i rarely do) but didn't manage to scan it again before ma wacked it in a frame!
I did it straight after the first Episode of 'House' on channel 5 along with some fan art chibis which i'll load up another day. i wanted it to be the uk's first House fanart! But i'm sure my procrastination has meant someone else took that honour.
Yeah so i love House, i now want Hugh Laurie's and Jessie Spencer's children and i'm quite obsessed with it. wooyay!

The addition of white highlights in the hair is particularly interesting. Especially considering how difficult watercolours can be to work with, I'm amazed at the detail and clean lines of this. Fantastic likeness!

Awesome work, this is him all over. I also love House, I thought it was so funny when I realized Laurie plays one of Cruella DeVille's fumbling idiots in Disney's 101 Dalmatians live action movie. Totally different kind of character, but he plays both very well.

thank you very much. house is awesome! if u like bumbling idiot Hugh then i recomend 'Jeeves and Wooster' he's in it with Stephen Fry very very funny. Its about this upperclass twit and his clever butler in the 1920/30s brilliant.
