What do I even say about this book... I found the Hob and the Deerman by Pat Walsh while looking for information on her currently unreleased book Crowfield Rising and I loved it!!! I was so so excited to find it because Brother Walter was always my favorite character from the first two Crowfield books so I was really happy to find out he had his own book! This scene would realistically NOT look like this but I really wanted to use my own fireplace as a reference soo... you get my fireplace. I'm restraining myself from going on a whole ramble about all the things I loved about this book so just know that I love it and I love Brother Walter and I love Curious. Considering the state of the main series and the fact that, the way it looks now, Crowfield Rising may never come out, Hob Tales is most likely also never getting another installment. I think I'm fine with this, it had a good ending and I'm content with knowing Walter and Curious can live with Bess for as long as possible and then go off and make a new burrow under a new tree. I'm just happy Walter has a friend who probably won't die on him. The main series on the other hand, I will constantly be upset might never get a third and final book! The last one left off on a bit of a cliff hanger and I would like more! It's been 11 years Pat Walsh, please. Please I just want a satisfying conclusion.
