(TR-O-PUH)-EDIT- wow... in less than five minutes, i have more than ten favs on this pic... that's NUTS!
this is my proposed PREvolution for Tropius... i am SOOO pleased with it's turnout since i kinda feel... it looks a little like sugimori style :0
but his head's a tad TOO large here :/
i got doodling it in chem the other day while playing with different possitions for another pair of make-em-ups i had... ,and thoughs of the idea of having one of tropius' fruits turn into a new pokemon
now this one is more loosely based of a pterodactyl... jsut a bit more fruity (haha get it?)
its face looks so similar to tropius' face and i noticed that AFTER i made it too
... i guess my brain cna even suprise me :0-when Tropius breeds while holding the "fertile seed" it produces not an egg, but a larger fruit on its neck, in place of the bundle of smaller ones, nad it falls off, then growing into Ptropa

PTROPA is ยฉ ME but it's evolution/ inspiration, TROPIUS is ยฉ to the pokemon creators :0

Not at all, and what possible benefit does sharing that observation have for me? This was created around the time of generation 4, maybe before, so there's really no point in telling me it looks like axew.

This is amazing, I love Tropius and this is an awesome design for a pre-evolution...I wonder, if it comes from an egg, would the hatching sequence in the game be different? That would be pretty cool.

Gah, I dunno. I want him to just grow out of the fruit, but since just about all pokemon (even if it makes no sense) come from eggs... he might too. :/

Yeah, but seeing the unoriginal 'eggs' created by sprite-splicing communities on this site turns me off to the idea. Adding stupid features from the sprites to the eggs. It's dumbtarded.

Awwww!!!!!!! He's so cute, and much better than other Tropius pre-evolutions. The shading is wonderful, and I love the little banana. It does look similar to Tropius, but not too similar, and the wings are awesome.
Wait, if the banana peel closes when sleeping, how does it breathe? Or do fruit-dinosaur-reptile-flying-pterosaur-banana-peel things even need to breathe?

Perhaps the leaves don't close all the way... or MAYBE he breaths through some sort of breathing hold elsewhere on his body.

Or maybe he is like a turtle, and can breathe through his butt. OR, he doesn't breathe, and just absorbs the reflected sunlight from the moon to live.

I always look at Tropius and think it needs a pre evolution. And they do need pokemon that don't lay eggs.
Cool idea. I like that his front legs haven't grown in, like a tadpole-dinosaur flower monster.

Reminds me of a Kongamoto

We all know Tropius is based on the Mokele Membe, right? Well, there's another African dino cryptid called the Kongamoto, which is basically a pterosaur/pterodactyl that lives near rivers and attacks boats. I just figured that since Ptropa is based off a Pteranodon or similar pterosaur, I likened it to the Kongamoto. Check out the following [link] for more
