Due to a complete lack of originality on my part I'm kind of caught up in a whirlwind of giftart/fanart for artists I admire (don't worry if this is the last thing you see from me this week, I haven't died.)

YAY! I love that tiger *hugs tiger* his markings, colours, and everything are just so cool. I have no idea how you can duplicate a character so accurately though, do you have any tips?

Tips? Ehm... herm... well I would say pay especial attention to the proportions on someone else's character's face and body, the spacing of the eyes, size and shape of eyes, noses, mouths, ears etc, the thinness/buffness/fatness of the body, muscle contours, those sorts of things. Tinker around with interesting poses too but keep in mind the overall size of the character. Characters have got to be 3D to you before you can conquer them, otherwise you'll always be drawing them in the same stiff photocopied poses
