Description
yeah, i think im finally conquering watercolours. tho i guess im cheating cos im using the watercolour pencils, but i really only wet the brush, rubbed it against the pencil colour and painted like it was straight paint, i didnt draw and colour it on the paper so i guess its not completely cheating....sorry its blurred a bit, i tried to take the photo with the flash off, and it blurs when i do that, and whith the flash on, it was pretty much white. i think i might practice paints a bit more, so i can get betterer
constructive crit is fine, but keep in mind this is my first painting that i havent given up on and ditched or rushed, so technically its my first in my opinion, so dont say anything i dont already know.

That's not an Aussie bird!
This is technically a really well painted painting. I love the colour choices, the soft pastel tones work really well with the background, and the bird's been painted so well, especially with the tones and detail on the beak and head. And the yellow stands out nicely, but not a whole lot which is good. The only problem though might be that the photo's a bit blurry.

yeah, its a crappy camera, i started a part time job to save up for a new good one but i kinda thought i could save it up for more better stuff (art materials lol) i think its pretty good for something im not generally good at, the blue melted into the yellow part around the eye so i cant say i didnt have troubles lol. you noticed it wasnt an aussie bird? your the real ornithologist arn't you hehe. nah, ill get back to my australian birds again, i think an eclectus pair perhaps?

Yeah, if not better I think we get the glossy black cockatoos as well as the sulfur ones and corellas! It's great when hundreds of them fly over at once!
Maybe you should get a job in electronics, you might get a discount for a camera?

i would love to see glossy cockies, corellas are pretty cute too, someone feeds these birds at a falt near my house and usually its just pigeons there but it was awesome when a big flock of corellas appeared, hanging from the power lines upside down, waddling on the road, not a sight i see very often

I can't actually recall seeing one in the wild before, we planted a whole bunch of native trees at my last high school so we'd get more. That's so cute about the corellas!

Like those things that had the little dark/black dots in it, and you spread water over it and it magically got colour? They were pretty cool, I remember those things.
I once had a Disney Beauty and the Beast (shit, I almost wrote Number of the Beast... I must have Maiden on the brain) or something - maybe it was that The Emperors' New Clothes or whatever it was called one? - nah, I'm pretty sure it had a Disney princess in it - thingo that you had this weirdshit stick of wax, or a pen of some sort that was white, and you cooloured in with it over special bits in the book and it changed colour. It was fun, so didn't last long, I'd coloured all the special bits of it in very soon after I got it.

Yes, they were, and I went to see it with Eddie! The name thing was funny, there was someone showing the camera one of the 100+ or however many tattoos of Eddie they had "I have Eddie tied to my nipples and bellybutton, and when I move like this, he tries to escape" =/
There were like 4 or 5 other people watching it. All but two of them, and us, left when there was technical difficulties, to come back and watch it at a later date. We chose to stay, waiting the 10mins for the lightbulb to be changed so there was a picture on screen, and got a free choc top each
And then after the thing, met the other two who were there, also a couple. Michael and Skye. I've seen them walking about cas a few times. They told us all sorts of concerts they've been to (they even went to the Brisbane one of the Maiden tour the doco was about, Michael was wearing a shirt that some people were wearing in the doco
Yeah. That's a damn long comment, I'ma wrap it up here.

Huzzah! I love hyacinths! I have a friend who keeps tons of birds, and always obsessed over hyacinths, so I'm afraid I caught a bit of it. Let's see, constuctive criticism... not a lot. Maybe the shadows are a little deep under the feathers under the beak. They look like they stick out more than they should... like a cockatoo's feathers! That's it!
... but to be honest, I kinda like the hyacinth with a fluffier look.

lol 2nd to comment.
little blury, but the drawing is awesome. can you draw a drawing of a picture? like maybe if you ever have time in the future i'd love if you could draw a drawing of a picture of a birdy. my friend has lots of birds and she's been very sick...where she can't live by herself because she doesn't know if she'll black out or need to go to the hospital. feel so bad for her, she just turned 30 and her body is acting like she is 90. thought it would cheer her up to see a drawing of her bird. just a sujestion if u run out of ideas.
-Lizzy awesome picture. u totally mastered the water colors, never known anyone who could do this good of a job with them.
