Hiccup was the hero. He was the brave one. So he took advantage of the time alone, to let his guard down."I...I can't let them...see..me...cuh-..cuh-rrrrrry..." Hiccup bemoaned.
He continued to stare at the ceiling, hoping that would aid the swift return of his beloved dragon.
The howling wind lifted the rafters, making them creek as if to taunt Hiccup.
Holding his breath, Hiccup listened.
The deafening silence, brought forth a sheen of tears. Sighing out loud Hiccup turned to his side.
Facing him was a recent drawing of Toothless he'd made earlier that month.
"Toothless....." Hiccup whimpered.
His shoulders shook as he gazed at the picture. Wiping his nose on his sleeve, he fought to regain his composure.
"You're ok...Yuh-...you did the right thing....He's fine...He will be back before ya know it!"
