This is a revision of the image I posted a few weeks ago titled Sword and Shadow. I felt an axe was better than a sword for the sake of composition, so I got rid of the sword and replaced it with the axe, I also revised everything but the face. I rendered most of the image using a hard round and soft round brush. The axe was created using custom brushes as well as the hard round and hard round airbrush. The software I used was Photoshop CS3 with Wacom Intuos 3 tablet.
