Hope so, i think i turned a huge corner when i picked up the knife.Its hard to stop myself picking up a small brush for detail but when i do the complete painting with the knife only i seem to get more freedom to create

I understand you I guess it a physical thing because I`m like that when I paint with various tools we need to feel something when we paint.

Yeh the brush just makes me add too much detail and the painting looks laboured and over worked but you cant do that with a pallet knife. I have so many now that i want to paint and old ones to re-paint all the the knife.

watch out the light source, shadow and most important the focus point.
• below the cap, should be darker as shadow
• 2 stripes of highlight on cap are too strong, yr focus point should be on her eyes, those stripes is taking away the attention
• lips, too much of detail

Martyn, I'm lovin' it too, and know your committed to it at the moment ...but could you (if you have time) do a traditional pencil or painting of Halle. I love that girls looks. Keep up the great work Bruce.
