Description Lord Suvid is a quickling, a small, birdlike humanoid. His kind is obviously quick on its feet. The brief on this guy didn't give much information on his place in the mythology or storyline, so I can't tell you much about that. He was just described as a diminutive badass, a volatile short guy that you don't really want to mess with. An unfriendly Yoda.

One of the words used to describe Suvid was "whirlwind," so I decided to use spirals as a basis for his design motifs.

I like the face on this guy. I kind of wish I could see him from a raised perspective, as if he is small.
Something weird there with the sword blade. It seems to be straight up and down at the guard, but more horizontal at the tip. I think it is less foreshortened than it should be.
Love the reptile feet.

You are absolutely correct about the foreshortening on the blade.
Thanks!

Reverse-jointed frog/bird legs + human face and cloak/trousers = WIN. I'm digging the "broken" quality of those sword points, as well! You've really captured the character of this guy, I think--ambiguous, possibly hostile. That sour, bitter expression on his face, combined with the squinting blind eye, identify him as unsympathetic at best. Plus, the pointy ears look almost like horns!

The spiral motifs work perfecty on the basket hilts, here...Reminds me of some of the crazy stylistic stuff various world cultures have done with their sword arms to confuse and/or intimidate opponents.
