I've done another piece or two for Stardrive 2 since this, but this piece was the culmination of that project for me: the box art. It was probably the most prominent illustration I'd done at that point. The box art of a real-deal video game. It was a very involved piece, and I spent a lot of time working with both my art director and his 3D guy so that I'd have actual assets from the game to work with. It was a pretty cool. All spacecraft are their work. I just color-corrected to fit the scene, painted highlights, and so forth. The planet is a game asset as well, but I added the explosion effects.

Stardrive II is copyright Zero Sum Games.

Edit: Accidentally uploaded a version with a low-rez logo and placeholder explosions. The REAL version is posted now.
