This illo even the Inking is spot-on it's close to Royer brilliance. I liked the 4-color process and Ben-Day technique, because white shone-thru it was more 3 Dimensonal. Digital Color reproduction in Trade Paper Backs flatten the color. Thats why when I'm using Paint Shop Pro 8, I use Gradient - Fading Foreground for Background Sky for example.
Keep up the good work and adding humour would be funny.

I use Paint Shop Pro 8 (old) now Corel own it, it used to be Jasc. Using Layers is useful to place figures on top of Background Layers. Color Replacer is good. I use a Layer set to Opacity 40% or 60% with BLACK, to draw over color layers without ruining the Layer underneath, this makes green - dark-green etc. This is ideal for Shadows and creating 3D effect. Using Gradient = Fading Foreground Angle = 180 Repeats = 0 with Blue give a graded color sky with a Grey Layer under gives dark - rainy feeling, with a
White Layer under gives light, Daytime feeling. Thanks for the Jack Kirby stuff have you ever done Jim Steranko SHIELD covers?

I've got Paint Shop Pro 8 which is old but fine by me. Corel toJascPSP over who use to do PSP.
It's useful for Layering Figures cutting out a figure putting it on a Layer and drawing the background on a Layer underneath. Color replacer is good. If you set a layer to 60% Opacity set it to Black you can quickly shade without harming the figures underneath. Thanks for the Jack Kirby stuff. Have you ever done a Jim Steranko SHIELD cover.
