Description ...or maybe not. I don't have any misguided notions that this, or any thing to come from this little jaunt, will be very popular. I was impressed with the way they came out, considering conditions that I captured the image in. If you can't appreciate that, then you can't really understand how hard it is.

*note: I apologize for the grain and for any soft focus you may find. It was well past midnight, in the rain (then snow mix), & I was shooting freehanded without a tripod or support. So my ISO is kind of high. I hope you appreciate how well it turned out, circumstances considered. Oh...and that IS rainfall you see in the streetlamps...yes, it's suppose to be there.

great work the positioning feels a little off not the photo itself but where the car is. Great work

Intriguing capture!

I like how the road sort of shimmers and such, from the lighting and the rain. The positioning is pretty cool and the actual piece itself is brilliant!

I don't know about you, but I think it's pretty impressive how great this piece is, as you've managed to capture it with a longer shutter speed, at night, with rain, freehand.

The blurred car needs to be emphasised, perhaps... and maybe the light at the top dimmed a bit, so that it doesn't take our attention away as much. It could also do with a crop in some places, as well...

Great stuff, nevertheless.

I rather like the effect (or affect, i still can't tell from the two) of the soft focus and the grain. I think it gives the photo more feel to it. And how the rain was captured I think is a pretty nice catch (my camera wouldn't pick that up... it kind of fails).

All in all I really enjoy this piece. What really catches my attention is the relief of the picture and the motion of the car. I just simply enjoy this picture. Well done

Thank you. For some reason, some people think the moving vehicle is a bad thing... but really, that's what happens to moving objects in long exposures.

I'm glad you like it though. Thank you for the kind words

The only part that's blurred is the part that should be - nicely done!

Most welcome I've had so many failed night shots! You could be a brain surgeon (or sniper!) with that steadiness

Charmed - 'tis a blessing

I bought a tripod and still always manage to knock it. Set the self timer now and stand back

You should try to get a couple of shots similar to this.

Am I allowed to use my tripod? 'Cause they'll make no sense otherwise!

Have done some from inside a moving car in the dark. I'm a bit wary of being out after dark with the camera. Will have to drag someone along

Most certainly. I would have if I had my tripod with me...but I didn't, and I didn't care anymore. There was a series of events that just...compelled me to go shoot regardless...

Oh, one of *those* days. At least you were shooting with a camera!
