Description The famous Brooklyn Bridge in New York. There's only so much I can say about the place itself. I loved the experience I had there, and the memories. Despite Brooklyn's flaws, it's one of my favorite places in the world. All I tried to do was give a different perspective on the iconic bridge, and highlight its symmetry.

I love the depth and wide-angle effect in this shot. The highly saturated sky--perhaps too saturated--and flag contrast the dark, and desaturated brickwork. The angle of the sun reflecting off of the wire supports on the right-hand side are a very nice, though, subtle touch.

I like the flag being in the shot, however, I do not feel the direction and angle of the flag compliment the symmetry of the photograph. That said, there are some things the photographer doesn't have complete control over. A High Dynamic Range Image would have really brought out the brickwork, and added some much needed exposure in the sky behind the bridge.

It also never hurts to do some slight touch-ups in Photoshop, for example, sharpening, color balance, and saturation. It would also be interesting to see this photograph in a high contrast version. Very good work overall.

I'll take that all into consideration. I've never approached HDR, & I'm ashamed to say I'm not sure how to go about it. But I'll consider it. I'll try to re-approach the photo for a slightly different vision, & thus, maybe a different impact.

Thank you.

I had no clue what to do when I first tried HDR... now, most of my work is HDR. I'm glad you liked the critique... I was trying to be as constructive as possible without being... harsh or sound condescending. I've seen a lot of angry critics, and not many useful ones.

Thank. Thank you very much. I'd forgotten all about it. It's an old one I stumbled across and tried to give new life. I'm glad it can find a home with some people...
