small and far... with depth of field to lead the attention. Great shot!

przypomina mi to... have you seen erich hartmann's girl in bus and figures in street during snowstorm?

jest pewne podobieństwo, rzeczywiście. ale to jednak zupełnie inny poziom. emocje, dynamizm, kompozycja.. tak naprawdę ciężko to nawet porównywać

thanks a lot! i was pretty happy when i saw how it came out. i was unable to check composition exactly while shooting due to rangefinder's paralax.

why? did you want to form a symmetry using the hand rails? i think it's fine as it is...

i wasn't thinking about that, really. it was a pretty quick capture as i didn't know how long the moment would last. i ended up shooting by holding the camera in front of my face to give the lens similar view to what i saw through the finder. composition was of second priority as i was unable to control it precisely.
still, i'm quite happy with how this came out.

I expected to see more grain from Delta 3200 in 35mm. I really have to give that film a try.

oh there is a lot of grain, believe me. i've got some worse cases waiting to be uploaded. but for what i do it's still very usable. certainly adds some character. i recommend it.

LOVE IT...small area of interest placed background image. also the girl watching you on left, and some geometry in the rails. grain works well also. tonality is not harsh, shadows open.

thank you for your kind words Mark.

that's from one of very few rolls of iso 3200 film i've shot. i must admitt i quite like the grain these things provide.
