Description My thing for tumblr's letsdrawsherlock's favourite film/tv/animated medium scene. Ballpoint, watercolour, gouache, colouring pencils.

From the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode Déja Q (3.13), in which the omnipotent, usually non-corporeal being Q is robbed of his powers by the rest of the Q Continuum, and he finds himself as a human aboard the Enterprise-D. Hijinks ensue.

In this image, Sherlock has taken the part of Q. In a way, when Moriarty takes away Sherlock’s reputation, he is as powerless as Q is in this episode.

In case you don’t know ST:TNG, the pale guy next to Sherlock is Data. He’s an android, and his personal journey is to move towards being human as much as he can, without becoming an actual human. In the episode, Q actually learns a lot about human behaviour from Data, and admits Data’s a better human than Q will ever be.

Personally, I think it would be interesting for Sherlock to have a chat with Data. He might learn something about human behaviour, too.

This looks so good!
The coloration is really well done and I love Datas facial expression. Q looks funny.

Wow this looks really like them! :0 Idk, maybe Q's face could have been a bit less oval, but I don't really care, its a minor thing, because the overall picture just looks awesome!

I could never draw clothes as good and flowing as this - really great style!

Thanks

Sherlock has a really tricky face to draw, it looks different from each angle, and I've never been able to get it down just right...
