Coloured sketch of my twin characters Bella and Yvette. c:I don't normally colour sketches, but this one I wanted to colour because I draw these two way too seldom.
I've never liked any of the drawings I've made from Bella and Yvette. This time I'm actually pleased how they turned out and they actually look much more like themselves than in their reference sheets I did last year. ^u^;
Bella & Yvette are mine, so is the artwork.

These two always look so gorgeous, and they look so happy and loving with one another here, it's so sweet! I really liked them in their refs, they seem so fancy, so it's cute to see their 'natural' side a bit more in this. I love how cute and quiet Bella seems, while Yvette seems a bit spunkier! Nice coloring job as well, I love the texture you added so it seems like an old time painting of them hanging up.
And as far as albinism goes I think it is completely viable that one twin has alibinism and one does not, as albinism is coded for by a recessive allele, requiring two recessive alleles to be expressed, and due to genes segregating independently, two separate eggs will develop independently and express genes independently as well. As long as they are fraternal twins and not paternal/identical in other words, it totally works! But also like you said...their dad was a creepy shadow entity, so they can pretty much be whatever the heck they want hahahha x3

I think I should draw them more. During past two years they've become more important to me than before, especially Bella.
Wonderful to hear you easily see their personality from this, and you are right with them both. ^u^
And yays for Bella being rightfully an albino. x'D When I created them back in the end of 2004 I didn't think her being an albino.
She was just a woman what looked like one, lol. Now she's even more vunerable and with her gentle nature she needs someone to support
her, and that's where Yvette stands for. Twins seems to always share the kind of love I don't even know about (I don't know about normal
siblin love either, so to me twins are even bigger mystery xD).
I'm trying to develope few new characters related to Bella. You allready knew she will have kids, right? C:

Siblings have a special bond, at least most do, and they typically know you better than any other person in the world and more in common with you, at least from my experience, and I can't vouch personally but I do know twins have a lot closer case of that love.

Oh yes, she will. >w< I haven't come to compromise with myself
with the character designs or names yet, but her first child will
be probably called Nikita. And well, Nikita is a common russian name
for a boy child (rarely to girl eventhou there are gilrs named Nikita).
From that you will probably quess who the daddy will be.
If you quessed Vladik, you're 100% right. x'D

83 YAYA omg that's going to be so cute! Lil vladik's! I'm so excited!I can't wait to see this scenario. Seriously though, I want to know so much bout all of them...like how they work day to day and stuff...Jackie and his sister's and Toxy and Vladik and Spine...ALL OF THEM. I...I...I want to be...PART OF THEIR WORLLLLLLLLLLD. hahahaha just kidding, I mean it would be awesome, but I just had to bust some Little Mermaid out hahaha
Also I really like that name! I have never actually heard a boy named Nikita, though I know it is a boy's name. I have known a few girls here though named that, weird! America always does things backwards XD

Oooh! Now I really want to draw them so I can show you what they look like.
Nikita is their first born child and they will have twins (boy and a girl) later.
I haven't figured out their names yet, but I'm open to suggestions *wink wink* 8B
The names doesn't have to be russian since they won't have a russian heritage. Vlad just wanted his
son to have that name. (spoiler: Nikita isn't Vladik's first son, but that tale needs to be told seperately)
Because Bella ages so slowly she will live long after Vladik dies (I don't even know when
or how Bella could die but that's not important for the story right now :'D)
Thier kids will have longer life too since they're partly immortal beings.

Yea, Nikita is a bit confusing to many people. That's probably why I want to give that name
to Vladik's son since he will grow to be quite an serious party pooper. x'D

That's kinda sad for Bella though that Vladik dies first...but I still love em together x3
And we do have a connection to that world...we just kinda go visit their worlds, mess things up and leave..and they can't do anything about it! 8D

Lol, I've saved this comment for the day I have time to tell about Vladik's past before Bella. x'D
I will go on with the short version, since I haven't had time to think about this much yet, so:
I've changed the time when Vlad and Jasha were born, so things happen closer to World War 2 and
they will be about 22-25 when they take part in it. I don't know if I have mentioned to you about Vladik
making a deal with the devil and consuming dark powers for himself for a while. The deal was that Vlad
loses 50 years from his own lifespawn, but the devil had something else it wanted to take too, but never let Vlad know about it.
(there is a storyline behind Vladik's sudden desire for dark magic, but it's a long one so I'll tell it later. x3)
After the war Vladik and Jasha won't stay in Russia, but they start to travel and learn different forms of magic.
In their travels Vladik meets a young woman, who he fells in love with and later they get married.
Vladik and Jasha disguise their real forms with a spell when they move with regular humans.
The lady Vlad gets married with knows what he really is and is the only regular human who accepts
Vlad as he is, so that's probably one thing what makes Vlad go crazy about her, lol. x'3
Well anyway, things are pretty normal in their marriage and the lady gets pregnant. Basically Vlad is very happy for the first time after war.
(But then I'm a very bad person and make things go down for him! Haha!) The devil comes back in the day Vladiks wife is giving a birth.
The unrevealed part of the deal is a horrible one: the devil wants the life of Vlads newborn son. Vladik tries to decrypt
the deal and offers his live instead, but the devil doesn't approve that. It actually hets mad and takes Vlads wifes life too...
So sad story told shortly: Vladik gets married after the war, but he loses his wife and newborn child to the devil.
After this starts long recovering for him and escape from reality. The brothers continue traveling to more far away places
but in the end they will return to Jackie's place (sorry, I'm a bit tired and won't tell you what happens in between all this but
if you want to know I can try to put it in a note or something. :'D)
Anyway, later Vladik realizes how much Bella has always ment to him and they get married. You can place this in 1960's.
As mages Vlad and Jasha don't age like we do and their physical aging slows down when they're around 30-35 years old,
so they will live longer and younger than we regular folks do. Vladik will still live 50 years shorter life than he would've lived
but he is still over 100 years old when he dies, so Bella will live long enough with him. x3
I hope I didn't confuse you too much! :'D Long stories are so hard to tell shortly and there is still lots of things I need to go
throught with their story. You are the first I even tell about this, so hopefully taht makes you happy. xDDD

But eeeeeeeeeee! <3 I love Vlad so much more! But his backstory is so sad! Poor Vlad! =[ I thought it was Jasha that got into the dark magic though? Just the same that sucks when the devil comes back for dues. Though I am kinda glad that Vlad ends up with Bella, even though his life is shorter than hers at least they spent a long time together anyways! And hahah no no no it really didn't confuse me at all. I must be crazy because it made perfect sense x'3
But such a nice backstory, it makes me want to know MOAR. But I also feel privileged that I was the first that got to hear this much to begin with 83 I am really curious to eventually learn what Vlad wanted to get into all that dark magic hullabaloo for in the first place too =I

I actually find colouring sketches digitally very realaxing at the moment.
Many times sketches look more lively than cleaned artwork and they are
good base for digital painting, what I'm trying to practise more.
So you will probably see more coloured sketches from me in the future. ^^
