Wow this is really amazing: gr8 job Maybe you can help me: I use illustrator a lot for web-interface designing and DTP. Im my spare time im busy making vector graphics as well only I never did stuff like this: i presume that you used a photo as a reference and redrawed it in Illustrator? Did you paste the photo in illustrator and redrawed it on top of the picture?

I really want to learn this: redrawing photo's in vectorbased graphics.

well lately my skills have build up and i don't need a reference anymore. sometimes i may need a photo as a base to get the scale and positioning right but from then on it's all ad lib.
but yes.. this image for example i opened up the image into Illustrator.. (not paste)
i had vectored this image for a competition.
