Technically, the organization of whom you speak is called simply: The Foundation. SCP is an abbreviation of their motto: Secure, Contain, and Protect, and is known as such if not followed by a number designation (for example, SCP-173 is the statue, but SCP by itself has little meaning within the Foundation's walls besides just a catchphrase).
This work does show what being contained by the Foundation can do to an individual, but If SCP (insert the number for this one here) is non-hostile, and considered Safe or Euclid, they might lighten security measures, and have access to more things (such as books, objects of the Entity's desire, within reason) with the exception to total freedom.
The Foundation is bureaucratic and cold, but not cruel. They just have procedures to deal with things we never could.
This work shows the harsher side of the Foundation. This is great for what you are trying to show. Keep it up.
