Carrots? I never knew they were that bad for you... oh it's a kebab!
We we had a kebab van in a village I lived in that only appeared on foggy nights when you had had 6 pints on a pub crawl, and your judgement was sufficiently impaired that eating a pound of spicy mechanically recovered meat slathered in chilly sauce was deemed a really good idea.
London, my neice was in the station and ran. Islamic fundamentalists: Still a lot less deadly than the IRA, as funded by Americans. I've never known a day when working in London that I was not looking for some nutter with a bomb. Part of my life experience. Friends lost in 9/11, my best mate in the 7/7 Kings Cross station during that bomb thankfully safe.
Still, more women are battered to death by their husbands every month than die through terror attacks. More people in America killed by right wing extremists and gun nutters than by Islamic terror. 125 men women and children killed in a building in Yemen by an American missile aimed at the two gunmen on the roof. More people attacked by sharks and killed by snakes in 12 months than have ever died in Australia through Terror attacks.
Sad world.

Yes well... Thats a response that proves a point doesn't it Bartholomay sweetie, check facts and understand the context of a discussion before you get your panties in a twizzle and fling insults.
I'm not Anti-American, I happen to study History. I may not like what your government does from time to time. Especially not the actions of the Orange Simian you have now. However History has a habit of throwing up inconvenient truths, especially if you read the sources from both sides. You don't have to be a genius to understand that life as a Palestinian Arab who's farm is separated form the rest of the village by a big wall surrounding an illegal Israeli settlement is not fun.
Its a known fact that the IRA were funded by donations from the Irish Catholic community in the USA... did you not know that? The funding somehow stopped after 9/11 when the British agreed to invade Afghanistan and Iraq with the USA, then everyone sat down and made peace. Is that anti-American? America has funded a lot of terror, and oppressive governments, both officially and unofficially. As have the Russians! OOPS! I'm Anti-Russian now! Not exactly a shining beacon of democracy... Who supported Noriega in Panama? Oh... until he became... shall we say... inconvenient. He was on the Payroll of the CIA.
If you are also talking about the 125 people killed by an American missile in Yemen that again is a fact. Go on, google it. Its not anti-American to state facts is it? Oh, unless you live in fear of the truth. One needs to understand your enemy to bring peace. Keep smacking them in the face with a baseball bat and they are going to come back when you are not looking and stab you in the arse with a pencil cos that all they have. I had 2 friends die in the WTC in NY. I have had personal experience of Terrorism in the UK. Have you?
How, if you can manage to explain with a logical argument, do these Historic FACTS qualify for an uneducated insult?
Just for your record, The British are guilty of massive numbers of innocent deaths as well if you care to read history, as are most nation states. Brushing it under the carpet and pretending those lives don't matter because they are foreign and beneath worrying about is not a defence. ISIS is guilty of thousands of innocent deaths. Now accuse me of seething with anti-Britishism please, or anti-ISISism.
The way Australia is treating refugees in Manus and Naru is shocking for a civilised country... Anti-Australian!
When you live with terrorism and you have a brain you endeavour to find out the cause of the issue and how its funded. Yes, I have walked down a street where an IRA bomb blew a building apart a week later, and yes I have worried for my family members patrolling the streets of Derry in a British army uniform. Yes, I have shaken the hand of a former IRA member in my own home and commiserated about what happened and the wrongs that were committed on BOTH sides. Have you ever talked to a former opponent?... looked them in the eye... He was a terrorist to me at the time. I understand what made him take up arms. I don't agree with it, but I understand why he did it, and what he suffered at "my sides" hands. In my opinion Non Violent Protest is the way... but when your Mum is blown up by a Cruise Missile you may feel differently.
Who trained the islamic terrorists in Afghanistan? Yes the USA... so they could fight the Soviets. The British, The French, and the USA have propped up dictators, trained "freedom fighters", funded coups and assassinations in the Middle East ever since the 1850's, and certainly ever since we needed oil. Since the 1950's the USA have been stirring the pot.
History. You may think its Anti-American as well, much like the Orange Simian does.
The West has to face up to the facts that we largely created the problems, its going to take more than throwing cruise missiles at gunmen on the roof of residential buildings and maniacs stabbing innocent people with knives to bring peace. We have to stop and listen and learn.

Carrots can be pretty bad for you too. Extremely high glycaemic index and interfere with the absorption of vital minerals. Though we rarely hanker for carrots when intoxicated, do we?
Nonetheless, in addition to high salt/fat content, Kebab meat can indeed be deadly, mainly because of untrained staff's non-existent hygiene practices: cross-contamination from unwashed vegetables and constant cooling and reheating of the meat.
So I think you hit the nail on the head Daleksupreme, one's judgement does have to be sufficiently impaired when "eating a pound of spicy mechanically recovered meat* slathered in chilli sauce"

It was the mysterious way the Kebab van would only appear if you were drunk enough that used to fascinate me.
Sober the thing would never materialize. It was as if the operation was run by a renegade time lord... especially when by morning the remains of the delicious meal had turned into shoe leather wrapped in cardboard.

Yes it interesting how religion would take some sensible pre refrigeration eating and hygiene rules and turn them into dogma. Its like classing some birds as fish so the clergy can eat them on a Friday. Always interesting how we take some rules and in ignorance of why they were developed either scorn them or follow them slavishly.
Its like the correct way to hold and eat with a knife and fork. Its actually simple engineering giving the best way to hold an implement for maximum benefit and cutting manipulation of food and nothing to do with manners. If you hold a knife like a pen it will flop over as soon as pressure is applied to the blade, and if you hold a pen like a knife you can't write but you can break the nib. Similarly a fish knife is specifically designed to be the most efficient way to seperate bones from fish... it does not mean you "Have to use a fish knife" to eat fish. Eating soup by spooning away from you simply reduces the likelihood of soup dribbling down your shirt by making the soup on the outside of the spoon fall away from the body. Such sensible engineering advice gets thrown to one side as people confuse stuffy manners with practical common sense and it goes untaught. Hence we see the unedifying spectacle of young men and women flicking their food around the place as they struggle to manage to simply cut and eat it due to holding their knife like a pen and their fork like a spoon.
Sometimes I wonder why some hominids bothered with civilisation at all.
Mind you the cheese knife is a waste of space, and the inventor should be shot.
