Animated gif on how I made this.

2. If you want to work with this many stock items you should make a group in your layerpallete for every item. In this work each items has about 3 or 4 adjustmentlayers with a clipping mask and has 1 or 2 layers containing his own shadow. You quickly loose the overview if you don't do groups.

Made with many many stock items. All credited and linked back...Thanks to:
Glass bottles
Crow
chains
Broomstick
large candle
witch
skeleton
white cat
spiderweb
old book

dead mouse
(if your not in the list but see something of your stock please notify me)

edit #1 replaced the apples and scaled them a bit.

I must say it is rather rare that I really LOVE photomanips, but I watched the WIP for this (and some of your others) and I really admire what you do with them. You take so many little odds and ends and not only do you throw them into a compiled scene but you really change/fix the lighting and details and really turn it into something completely new, different and wonderful. I enjoyed seeing how you turned this into a completed scene and a work of art. Great job! You have a fantastic gallery

Awww, that is so nice of you to say. I'm glad you like it. This is one of the most time consuming projects I've ever done. It just a creative way of photomanipulating. I'm glad you liked it. And thanks for taking the time to see the WIP's.

I am so in awe... I've been looking at the WIP (must have seen it over 15 times, believe me),
and to the final piece here... and I am speechless.
The work you performed here is to be admired. I cannot think how many hours you spent searching for the perfect stock, cutting it and preparing it ... The atmosphere is terrific and I cannot stop looking at the many details! This is the kind of work I love so much, and let me say, you SHOULD submit closeups. Only after seeing the animation several times my eyes discovered the picture (or enchanted mirror) to the left of the window !

The life (spider, cat with dead mouse, crow) makes this scene still more believable. You placed webs even on the chandelier... I mean, this was not done in a hurry, but during hours and hours of carefulness and it shows.

I also love the gown and the hair of the lady or witch and how she seems to be moving.

I can imagine this masterpiece illustrating a book... it's one of your best!

Thanks for submitting it and letting us enjoy it... and my congratulations for such a fantastic scene again!!!

Thank you, it was indeed one of the hardest works I ever did. I have plans for a similar piece in another environment.

So great you looked it it so intensively. Yes the mirror. One of the details just a few people see. Thank you very much for taking your time to look at this.

Iยดll certainly enjoy another one (or more than one!!)

These are my favorite kind of works...

The time I use to enjoy and be marveled is the best used time for me!
