I think the story was that old Zero die and left 1 and 2. Then after the movie ended, 9 learn how to get the souls back with the talisman. It brought back all of the lost souls, and without knowing, bringing back Zero. But Zero's soul is trap (i don't remember where) so a new one soul was born thus is called reborn Zero.
