Well I like the pic and Akatsuki was Cagalli's in the first place, the rip-off gundam was made for her and her her father said something and since she is Rep. and has a country to run... It was given to Mwu to use in battle. Anyways.. I do like the pic and I could care somewhat less on what others think.

wow! now this is something! i really love the poses on the three characters. showing a really dramatic affect with their Gundam all covered up with the shadows. They all look depressed, but it really shows of how much pained they feel, expectualy Shinn. Cagalli and Athrun are really cute when they're staring at each other. hm...i wonder what's going to happen?
The Akatsuki Golden effect is really something! The sheild that its holding has this really great shine to it. And the eyes of Every Gundam is showing how the shadows are faraway from their certain items. like for the Akatsuki's Shield, Infinite Justices laser sword, and Destinies Wing.
I really like how you define "Checkmate" for this picture. I would never, never thought of that! The queen for Cagalli, the King of Athrun, and the Pawn for Shinn. wow, but why do you pick this people for a certain people for this kind of gameboard? this kind of reminds of Dullandal chessboard. When he was moving all the chess pieces to a certain spot. Really good job on this.Can never do such a thing before.

lovely image... do you think you will make two editions where it's just AsuCaga and ShinnCaga...
The three panel layout see to isolate Shinn. Also one thing that might help balance the composition is to flip Akatsuki so that the direction of the mobile suit follows the direction of the pilot's figure.
Lastly, I think your Shinn look great.. especially the posture. The side burn looks right especially considering his head is tilted down which will cause the hair to spread and you got his signature two longer bangs in the middle of the forehead. And Akatuski is Cagalli's... Uzumi built it for her.. It was show in the OP before esp 45 to be her MS. And it was shown as Mwu's after because he lends it to him.. just lending it away doesn't make it not hers.

I assume you're replying to my pos indirectly.
The Akatsuki is "officially" Cagallis, but she used it once and Mwu used it three times. When people say Akatsuki they instantly come to mean Mwu, where as Cagalli is linked to the Strike Rouge.
Would you argue that Gaia was Rikka's not Stellars too?

Not that I know who Rikka is, but that's not a good comparison. Stellar STOLE Gaia. How is that equalivent to Cagalli LENDING Mwu the Akatsuki? She didn't GIVE it to him, she let him use it. It's still her's, regardless. ^^ So really, you just link it that way, it doesn't HAVE to be that way. >< Lordie.
And really, to me, none of the characters are pawns. They did what they did by their own decisions, influenced or otherwise. ^^

She told Mwu to use it on her behalf as she was written out of the series on a whim basicly. The Akatsuki is newtype (hence Mwu, Rey, Raww, Kira and one or two Astray pilots) use only unless it uses the original back pack. It really makes no sense to call it Cagallis when she used it for a single battle.
The same way Strike is Kira not Mwus even though he gave it Mwu. It just doesn't make sense to claim it's hers at all.
I suppose we could argue this all day.. but Destiny was such a mess you could claim Justice was bloody Lacus's custom mecha. :/
