Description
This is basically a do-over of the first thing I ever added to my gallery here on dA, back in 2004: [link]I was just learning to paint digitally back then, without much knowledge of anything...
I think I can safely say I've improved... but I'm still not exactly happy with it, so.. any tips are greatly appreciated. Be evil with your critique, I won't mind
Pose referenced to myself (somewhat.. seeing as I'm not a mermaid... despite the fact some people enjoy calling my Mermaida

pues.. un poco estresante! XD partí el colegio ayer, IV medio 
pero ya se me pasó, y pude volver a la tranquilidad habitual XP un solo día ya me hizo asumir lo que no había querido, y cuando me encargué de algunas cosas, quedé en calma.

El año del sufrimiento... todo lo que dicen los profesores todo el año se remonta a "si no pescan, les va a ir mal en la PSU" Al final, si, lo mejor es no estresarse, e ignorar los comentarios desagradables
Mi vida va bastante relajada hasta ahora, siendo que, aunque entre a clases el Miecoles tecnicamente, no tuve clases ese dia, y el Jueves tuve solo una clase, sin taller. Eso significa que el Lunes empieza la tortura real (Investigacion aplicada al diseño e introduccion a la economia... no es un lindo dia).
Asi que ahora me queda disfrutar de mis ultimos dias de libertad hasta mitad de año

Very pretty. I've always been a sucker for mermaid art. I love how the light hits the bubbles; you did a really good job with the lighting. The seaweed is also very good; you have a soft, painterly style and I like that, but I feel where the mermaid's waist meets her tail, the scales appear just a bit rushed in comparison to the others. I love her face and hair though, very nicely painted.

This is beautiful, you have definatly improved.
The only thing I can say could be better would be the tail. I don't know..the shape seems a little off. It's really thick, and then gets thin fast.

I guess you're right about the tail, I was trying to make it look "perspectivy" but... it didn't work out as well as I'd hoped
