You may be wondering why I’ve been posting less Outcasts of the Rift character art and screenshots in the recent past. To be honest, I’ve fallen out of love with the idea of creating a RPG, and have discovered that several game mechanics that I created just aren’t as fun in execution as they are in theory. The game just isn’t coming together in the way I hoped it would and it’s time for a new approach.

I’ve also lost motivation due to the lack of interest the game has generated, even though I’ve been actively promoting it on a regular basis across multiple social media platforms. After much deliberation, I’ve decided to go in a different direction that will appeal to a wider audience.

Outcasts of the Rift is now going to be a farming simulator. Live off the land, grow and sell crops, befriend the townsfolk, and maybe even find love!
