ヽ(*・ω・)ﾉ Hello, I finished the Demo for my game. (Brittany and Fivine Helped me spell check it and everything.)The Demo is mainly for getting feedback/critques, since this the first time attempting to make a VN ever. It’s not really a /Demo/ in the typical sense, as when I finish the game it’s intended to be freeware. I want to use any feed back from this to make the final version really good. I still have a lot left to do, but I feel like if I could get some feedback on this I would be able to work more confidently. Don’t hesitate to be nit picky! (However I’m not a very good programmer so even you want more effects… I can try but I can’t guarantee it.) Thank you!

I have no Idea on how to make that menu, my game doesn't have a page for that because I just didn't know how, sorry fdhfdgdd. Um but if you just want the actual coding to give the characters romance points then you put this code for stats at the start of the game.
$ guy1_romance = 0

Then during the choices you just go like this

anyways! I just wanted to say that, if you were still taking feedback, I use Linux on my computer and I tried downloading it but I can't seem to find the game file.
I extracted Faithfully yours from my downloads, but still nothing. I hope extracting is the same as unzipping the file..
But it seems like it's a really good game!!
I'll just download the game from my laptop to play.

Hey, I just finished playing through this and I just have to say it was amazing!
I loved the art. Everything is bright and colourful. It's really nicely done! For a short demo, there was a whole lot of detail, not only in the backgrounds (which I actually did stop and read all the little text here and there – nice touch btw) but the facial expressions too. I especially liked Kai's gloomy face and that he sort of... sparkles when he's really happy!
The characters are interesting. Kai really did give me that 'lost little puppy' kind of vibe. He was defiantly cute and not the average 'dorky' type character. As it stands now though, he does seem a little too friendly. I'm really curious to see what problems Devin has with going near the student council room and I actually really liked Emily's character. I truly look forward to befriending her. I loved that when she's talking about school related things she seems really proud and confident but when it comes to herself she's suddenly shy. It's pretty believable. It made me sad that she seems like she doesn't have many friends though, but that right there is pretty incredible. With such a short demo to make me feel so strongly towards a character shows a high quality of writing I think!
I can honestly say that I've played a lot of high school type visual novel and I have high hopes for this one. Even though the general high school theme has been used to hell and back, I haven't come across one like this yet. I'm reeeeaally looking forward to getting my hands on the full version!
Your writing style is easy to follow with a decent quality but I did notice that some words needed a capital letter here and there and in some cases, it was like there was a word missing in a sentence. I feel like I'm nit-picking but I thought I should point it out anyway and I guess polishing up the writing is something that happens before a full release anyway.
Overall, I'm really excited for this to be finished. Keep up the great work!

This is probably one of the best games of this type I've ever played ^^ The story line is great, it's more in depth than most other school set ones. The character personalities were interesting and nicely planned/made. I also love all the various expressions, most games only have one or two, but there's so many and they all look great. I think this has a lot of potential and that you should definitely keep going with it. I would LOVE to play the full version one day.

I gotta start out by saying that I absolutely LOVE the art for this game. The backgrounds, cgs, and sprites are so beautifully done, the GUI looks great, and the variety in the sprites' expressions is just WONDERFUL.
The quick pace of the story kept me interested. I look forward to seeing just what problem Devin has with the student council - and especially how things are going to get complicated with Christina. I can already feel that coming. XD I really hope to see further development in the characters with the full release of the game; the demo contained a nice exposition of their personalities.
My only complaint is the grammar. It's very hard to catch spelling/grammatical errors in your own writing (especially in Ren'Py), but the multiple mistakes I found in the demo (sentences missing words, punctuation/capitalization) really stole the air of professionalism the game exudes in every other aspect. This is a minor issue, but I think you owe it to the amazing potential of your project to crack down on this in the final version. Grammatical errors distract from all the good things you have going.
Sorry for being fussy; grammar is just one of those things that gets me going.
But other than that, I LOVED this project. And I could listen to Devin's theme all day long. XD It suits him perfectly.

Wow, I have to say this game demo is pretty amazing! There's a truly impressive number of details in this game, especially the number of different expressions all of the characters - and especially Bridget - have. (It made me laugh that Kai sparkles on occasion.) I love how detailed the background are too! I can't say I took much interest in either male character (which is just a personal preference and nothing really to do with the game) though I have to say I'm curious about the story with Devin!
One thing I did notice however was it was hard for me to keep track of who was saying what. It would be really awesome if the face of the person speaking appeared where Bridget's face is instead of always having her there. That would be a heck of a lot of work, though, so as an alternative perhaps each of the main characters could have a color assigned to them and have their name appear in that color? Then at a glance you can know right away who's doing the talking.
I also would have liked there to be more choices in the game, though I see that was mentioned by another person and you commented that there are fewer choices intentionally because that's your preference. Anyway, like I said this demo was amazing!

Ok, I still haven't finished, but I thought I'd let you know that I had some problems starting it up. I mean, the first time I opened the file, the promo art would come up, but it would freeze and crash, so I had to open it a second time, this time the game actually started, but two game windows popped up... I repeated the thing, and sure, each first time the game crashes, but the second time it starts working well.. Idk if that's a bug or something? (I'm using windows 7 btw)
Other than that, the game itself looks very promising~ The art looks really good and the dialogue is just perfect! I laughed a few times, and it doesn't feel too redundant. I'm really enjoying the game so far! I might tell you more about my opinions as soon as I finish the demo, but great work!

First things first I really loved the amount of expressions, I've played quite a few otome/visual novels games that only really have a couple basic expressions, but this has a lot! I really enjoyed seeing them and they added a lot to the moods etc.
I love the backgrounds they are nice and the characters are all cute >3< Especially Devin ahohoho
I had a try at making one of these and I must say I found it confusing so for a first time game this is amazing, the layout and colour scheme are nice and work well. The loading screen was also really cute and I had no problems with it at all.
Though I think we could use more points where there are options for us, so we can be more 'active' in the story, like when we first bump into Devin and are giving him a nickname, having a choice of them to choose from would of been fun ^_^
But apart from that I found it really fun to play through

It was a lovely thing and great, though I noticed a few missing words here and there. Some of the transitions went by fast and I wasn't doing anything, though I'm not sure if there was an error on my part or not. Great work overall though!

It looks so cute, but omg, I'm sorry but the heroine's eyes are too big for me T__T.
It kinda scares me, sorry Q___Q. (I don't like girls who have super big eyes that take up like half their face)
Well, it's a suggestion, but I think you should try to shrink down the eye size! It's a bit too unrealistic and too "shoujo anime" like...

Don't worry, it's not Rude if you have a preference. But I'm not going to be changing any of the art at this time because I'd rather have a finished game. I'll take it into consideration for future project though~! (Or even if I make a revised version after I finish. Although I like big eyes~ it's easy to over do it, isn't it?)

Ah the visual novel wasn't for me personally but from what I played it was good. The only thing I didn't like about it was that I couldn't have any input about what Bridget would do, like if I was going to go to sleep early or late, or how to speak with mum and dad. I know a lot of VNs are like this one where they just show you a story, but I do like more interaction with the protagonist, just so that it feels like I'm actually in the story instead of just reading about the story.

Actually after this part in the demo there are going to be more choices for her, this was mainly the setting up the scenario. Afterwards there will 4 or so choices that decide the branches, the choices being what the Heroine wants to do at lunch and With the last being who she wants to help out at Thanksgiving. Then after the branches divide the choices will get more to do with the heroines feelings and reactions.
Although it doesn't seem like it'll have enough choices for your preference, so it's totally fine if you don't like it. My favorite VN are more like this, so that's why I set up the choices that way. I realize it's not every one's cup of tea though~ (*⁰▿⁰*) thanks.
