With few options, and his ammo running low, the ruthless mercenary had little choice but to activate the ship's built-in fog machines to cover his escape...

This scene was inspired by a folder of sci-fi textures I found on my hard drive as well as by the character model from TooManyDemons.

I wanted to try and build a scene and use only textures from that folder which was full of sci-fi walls, floors, lights, etc.
The textures aren't the highest resolution, so I had to mask that with some use of Depth of Field blur, but I'm happy with the overall effect.

I've had this scene in the works for months, but hadn't put the finishing touches on it.
Partially due to lack of inspiration and partially due to long render times for the VDB cloud that acts as the fog in this scene.
This was my second experiment with K-Cycles. It continues to deliver awesome looking images with fast render times, so far very impressed.
