Working up the nerve to fur my first base ans wondered...does everyone start with a solid color long fur and then airbrush in the markings? Working on a budget for my first mask I have tons of scrap piece of fur but doubt I have enough of any one color to do a solid whole head and I am dreading trying to create a pattern and stitch together dozens of little pieces. Any pointers would be great because I love your work.

Nope, it depends on the maker and what kind of markings a person does. Go look at lots and lots of photos
