If he was one of those aloof, antisocial birds (or just an out right jerk) I could see eating him. But he sounds really sweet and friendly.
As long as he's healthy and not one of those that are breed to more or less die of heart failure if not eaten (American mass market turkeys are breed that way), may he live long and healthy life.

Ah. Well, it's a lot easier to kill and eat something if it's attacking you IMOP.

Turkeys have such amazing heads! They're so ugly but not really at the same time, if you know what I mean.

Yes I do! A little girl about 3 or 4 stopped at the garden fence today and looked so intently at Tinsel I ended up picking him up and taking him over to show her, I asked if she liked him and she said "yes but he's very ugly", which made me wonder what she liked about him if she thought he was ugly. He just has such a great personality!

Well, ugly things can be likable too. I mean, take a deer for example. If you look at all the seperate parts it's a weird animal, yet it's so lovable! And the same goes for turkeys! They're ugly, but not repulsive. :3

Oh gosh he's so ugly and I love him! <3 You're lucky. I wish I had a coop so I could keep game birds. It's one of the major downsides of living in the city... no room for outdoor pets. :c

My boyfriend and I thought seriously about living in a small house in the country that we found for rent at one point, but after about five minutes of me asking if I could have chickens/peacocks/quail/geese he decided we had better stay in the city. If I ever had room for a coop and a garden, I would never have money again. Ahaha

Haha! He is lovely. And so funny, today he tried some tea - didn't like it. He was eating ice all day as well because the water froze and had a great time, but then he started shivering because he must have had a chill in his crop. Stupid bird lol

Haha yea he does! Yes he's a bronze double-breasted (I think). If he keeps growing I might have to eat him because of it being cruel to keep him alive (like keeping a broiler alive past a year, they'd just chafe). But I don't know! We'll see how he goes.

Look at those eyes, that is just lovely. I know people can get very attached to turkeys. xD I've never been around one, but from what I'm told they can have very distinct personalities.
